General Discussion / Re: Struck again.....

Well guys that would work if I used RTB... Or...
Toybox + brick limit. It's what it's there for.

No, it's not. I postponed it due to a personal matter.

im not sure what time it will be for me (im in london GMT), but im sure it will be an awkward time for me. ive got a poker tornament and a gig to get to. im probably not going to be able to make it.
I am 100% willing to work around any musician's schedule. That's awesome! What kind of gig?

BTW if you want a cool arena type map i have for this competition please say. Its a huge open square stadium with baseplates in each corner. its completely empty, and you can just about make out the people in the opposite corner of the map.
That's pretty awesome if you made that interior, but even if you didn't I'm going to break with my normal attitude and say that's still a pretty awesome idea for a map.

mocheeze is a reasonable guy. During all the time with TBM he, Rit, and Ephi were kindly and peaceful about the situation. I've made no secret of the fact that they weren't the ones I personally had an issue with. I don't understand where this sudden animosity toward RTB has come from, but likewise mo' I don't understand why you've suddenly decided to declare war on a mod that's limping along pretty much dead, especially over a b.s. reason like the one you're citing. We've talked about all that.

RTB has, like, 50 servers, right? TBM has... well, I haven't looked recently but I'd guess 1? 2? Why even bother? The overwhelming majority of people clearly prefer RTB.

Maybe my viewpoint is colored because of the whole "I realized how stupid 'mod wars' were so I quit working on mod teams" thing, but I don't see a reason why anyone on any side here should be getting all worked up about this junk. Wikipedia's managed to stay pretty clean lately even with pro-TBMers on there; how would this be any different?

Just my $0.02.

I'm back home.

Obviously, this isn't happening this weekend. I guess it's good based on the people that wanted to enter late.

I don't really know what my schedule is going to be like now, but considering the fact I already dropped some cash on this thing will next Saturday work for all the entrants?

82
hety guys I'm on my laptop. A couple of you know what this is all about so thanks for your IMs. Except yours, Speckz. ;)

I won't be able to host on my PC today which is why I moved it to tomorrow when I'm (hopefully) back since I can't login to the router :(

anwyay. i'll keep you posted.

RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY

I'm sorry guys but there's a family issue that needs to be taken care of tonight and I won't be back until late Saturday.

84
I have you, just haven't updated this list. Later tonight I'll be putting up the temp. schedule so anyone can make schedule change requests before tomorrow's start.

(Quick link in case you missed the information and the FABULOUS PRIZES!* )

So far I've had a whopping+ 10 people sign up for the first event of the build Olympics. If you're thinking of waiting to sign up for a later round, don't! This is the ONLY single-person regular build competition; unless you're in Round 1 you can't qualify for the championship rounds. After this it's team events, speed events, and "artistic" events leading up to the grand championship, where the prizes may actually really be FABULOUS as I'm currently in talks with some minor sponsors!

In other words: if you're a regular ol' individual builder. this is your event!

Here are the current entrants. If I'm missing any of you guys, let me know. And if you'd like to be in this, remember registration closes soon, so hop over to that thread and sign up.

Michael Davies - (Army miked) - RTB
TechHut - RTB 03
Bri Guy - TBM 2.0 Beta
CaptainDamnit - TBM 2.0 Beta
Speckz - TBM Beta 2
Green Lantern - TBM2.0BETA
Dontar, [UB]Dontar, TBM2.0Beta
Ephialtes - TBM 2
Kaphix - RTB
<CBC> Leader (Cmputerman) - RTB

Thus far it looks like there will be 2 rounds of 2-3 hours worth of building due to low playercount, 1TBM and 1 RTB.

* Prizes may or may not be very FABULOUS! except for the trophy which is only half-FABULOUS!
+ This is sarcasm.

General Discussion / Re: Where Blockland came from

Except that Blockland doesn't suck goats. Oh, and it introduced a whole new multiplayer paradigm that I don't think we'd ever seen before.

It's cause he has a block for a head, mang. Why you gotta be so insensitive about his ailment? HAVE SOME DECENCY.

Yeah, ephi's right. I think we'd all rather have male models with adjustable snake size and ball weight rather than map sections. (I know I would)
I'm setting my guy's to "massive, approaching elephantitis."

I aim for keeping my characters as true-to-life as possible.

Aces! Another stuffty clan!

At least this one is based off of a good book. Rabbit Army was Carn Carby's, wasn't it? And didn't Dragon just straight-up whoop them?
