Sure, pay me $150 per month to cover the costs and it's a deal.
Only if you put a giant billboard of that pupil and iris-less webcam photoshop of me I did up in the skies while within Port Town, with random chat from God.

Then you can put your head up in the skies outside of Port Town, with your random chat being from God's Agent.

You know, folks really need to have some roll call servers set up because a lot of these clans aren't active anymore... Anyway.

I rode a horse north for about an hour straight once.

I just changed my movement keys & put a weight on my space bar to see if BS did anything crazy up there.  :cookieMonster:

Global levelling, and giving advantages to those players that level such as increased strength, speed, or better weapons, always ends up being frustrating for beginners in a PvP game. If AoT incorporated a levelling system then BS would have to add some sort of limitations, like a level 50 can't sit there and pound on noobs.

Wedge's temporary reward idea a la Battlefront II is a much better approach, IMNHO.

General Discussion / Re: Which servers do you miss?
« on: December 30, 2005, 06:00:19 AM »
Man, I do miss MCP's Universe Builds. The first few were just flat-out some of the most spectacular builds seen in BL even today.

I miss when I was running 2-3 servers simultaneously too, and when people would think I was just doing the ol' "fake server" trick. Until they joined. Those were always fun because I'd screw with my maps - put in a different sky, add antigrav or bounce zones, add hidden areas waaaaaaay high up or down below.

AoT General / Re: WHAt is the AGE OF TIME?
« on: December 21, 2005, 02:45:19 AM »
Intriguing question, my noobie friend! Pragmatically speaking, the age of time won't be known until the heat death of the universe, and even then it's debatable if that event signals the "end of time" or if time inexorably marches on.

However, if you ascribe to the view that time is not an irrevocable entity unto itself and only exists because of man's perception of it, i.e. time exists only prima facie and is an artificial measure created by mankind, conceivably one could argue that "the age of time" will be from mankind's first awareness of the passage of time until the inevitable point that Ol' Sol goes red giant on our asses and wipes out humanity.

Rob was the man. Smart, very very smart, hell, smarter than me. Slightly masochistic in his coding practices, though.

Aye. I miss Rob.

The first build contest in BL was a build contest to create a facsimile, in Blockland, of my penor ego.

Sadly, no one had enough bricks.  :cookieMonster:

TBM's best for building but won't have lots of new features unless MCP makes them since, as you may or may not know, I left the team a few weeks back.

Auric Fields... that was north west of Port Town IIRC. I don't know, I just got a horse and went completely the OPPOSITE way everyone was supposed to go for about an hour looking for stuff.
