Instead of choosing a random path, you might want to add how often each node is traversed to it's cost. Alternatively just something similar, such as adding cost to all nodes traversed by a bot if it dies before reaching its goal.

Not a bad idea. That could allow for different paths every time.

Help / Re: [RTB Related] Game preferences wont show up?
« on: February 16, 2014, 10:18:30 AM »
RTB is already half-gone. It won't work anymore.

No, the non-online features of RTB (such as server control) work just fine.

If you want a version of RTB with all online features removed, see here: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=251421.0

I don't spend very much time on each visit but I stop in when I have free time throughout the day.

Keep in mind that the whole conversion process is dumb.

https://github.com/bam-org/meta/blob/master/TorqueScript%20quirks.md#very-allowing-string---number-casting

You should allow line comments in those repos.
edit: Apparently github only allows that in commits, not in the actual source.

Nope, I don't need the log!

Thanks though, I'm taking notes: https://bitbucket.org/Greek2me/slayer/issues?status=new&status=open&component=Bots

The models are very, very weird.
I can't quick put my tongue on it. They look skinny, and as if parts are sticking out from it.
3/10 for effort

Pretty sure that's intended.

No, it has to do with your mouse software. Google how to disable your mouse's momentum and inertia settings.

Do bots have trouble with stairs of any sort or is it because im using ModTer bricks?

They shouldn't. What are they doing? Make sure that the center of your path node is visible from other path nodes.

I would love to see a map featuring a town nestled on the side of a mountain.

I had a typo of sorts. Thanks for your help tracking that down.

There should be a new beta release on the updater. Let me know if it downloads correctly.

edit: Oops, I forgot to remove my stats code that I was learning PHP with. Oh well.

General Discussion / Re: What hosting service is going to be used now?
« on: February 14, 2014, 07:00:26 PM »
It will actually be cheaper and easier to upgrade the current one to a bigger server with 8 CPU cores and 24GB of DDR3 RAM. We will obviously need donations to accomplish this, but it will allow for 30-40 server slots easy instead of the 20 we have now.

You could offer additional slots on the basis that very few servers will actually use a lot of resources.

Join 2 strings together and put the result in command field?

Then we have a couple options: either automatically fail it or figure out what those strings are.

You could easily put bad code in the command field for the gui buttons and text fields.

Obviously that's part of what is scanned.
