Haha no. At the moment I'm looking at other ways to calculate modulus, becuase that's incredibly slow at the moment.

Yeah sorry I didn't get to the modulus earlier. I haven't had an ounce of free time all week really.

I'll try to knock out the modulus function tonight.

I don't believe there is a function for it.

Speed shouldn't be too much of an issue, as I can't see this being used for chat or anything. Its main use would be authentication.

Sorry, just noticed this thread.

Is there any evidence that this is the actual guy?

Ok, WHOIS says that her ISP is Hughes Network Systems.

I did some research and apparently Hughes blocks some traffic, which may be what's happening here.

This is their community support page. You can ask there, or simply search for "games".
http://community.myhughesnet.com/hughesnet

This is their FAQ: http://gen4.hughesnet.com/learn-more/questions

It contains this statement:
Quote
What about online gaming?
HughesNet Gen4 service plans will work with many features offered through gaming services such as Xbox LIVE® and the PlayStation Network. You will be able to download games and game updates, and use the streaming video and music services offered through your gaming system, such as Netflix® and Hulu™. However, the majority of real-time, multi-player games that people play on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation will not work over any satellite Internet service. Strategy and "turn-based" games will work but games requiring a rapid response such as "first-person shooters" will be unplayable.

General Discussion / Re: Donation Systems for Servers

For those curious about taxes on paypal revenue - paypal has a page dedicated to that subject detailing when you need to report your earnings.

Greek is incorrect in his statement that any and all donations must be reported to the IRS.

Could you link to it, please? I searched but couldn't find it, and I'd like to read it myself before taking donations.

So apparently I had an account already... https://github.com/Greek2me

Here's the final benchmarks.

Ip's changes saved a tiny amount of time, I guess. It's still missing a division function. Is this a problem, or does it support multiplying by decimals?

rename cache.db to something else

Doing this will fix your problem, but you will need to download all files from servers again.

Lug, do I need a github account to contribute to the repo?

Also, should I even bother benchmarking Red Guy's library? It's missing a lot of stuff.

Wrote a new benchmarking function because I had nothing better to do.
Wow, getRealTime() is so precise! -4ms min!

I was redefining the function because making the benchmarker use eval and support fixed-argument functions would add too much overhead.

I love how you and Kalphiter are criticizing my benchmarking, when it's practically identical to yours. The only difference is that you did 100,000 iterations, while I only did 5,000. Yes, that would make your results more accurate.

Will do. I'll post here when the file at http://Ipquarx.com/Math.cs is updated.

I can tell you already that yours is much faster at multiplying than McTwist's. You're also missing a division function.

I'm having trouble benchmarking Red Guy's since his uses objects, and those don't play nicely with the benchmarker.

edit:
Here are the initial results. http://pastebin.com/zYtrXQ6d

Please note that these are not formatted yet. They do not include Ip's updated math library and do not include Red Guy's library (see above).

I'll get new results once Ip finishes his updates.
