The cool thing is that you can mix and match these things and build pretty much anything. It reminds me of the classic LEGOs, before everything was pre-molded for you. It's actually a pretty fun exercise.

The way legos were intended. I'm going to try this.

Have you used the simple well hats mod? If so, it'd be similar to that, except that it would mount the hat when you spawn as a specific playertype. Making it an item kind of defeats the purpose of wearing it before you go into battle. Yes, you could enable it before you start shooting it, but that's one less weapon slot for you to use.

I think you're reading my posts wrong.

I know what he means, it sounds kind of dumb, armor is armor, you can't put on a body lol.

The elites would be a playertype. The Spartans will be a playertype. The elites playertype will replace the default one, while the spartan one will just cover the default one.

Not necessarily look, as my own modeling style is gloriously detailed and realistic. However, as I make these myself, I intend to model them with the default Gun as a base, so yes, I suppose so. Simple model for short DLs and no chance of lag.

What types of weapons were you thinking about making?

Default weapons would be a machine gun, a sniper and a shotgun as we have everything else needed for a default weapon pack. Maybe a grenade?

Get a wired mic. Wireless is absolutely unneeded.

That is unless you buy the wireless adapter for your computer, then you can use it as a wireless PC mic.

Yeah. For the Elite, Just have a playertype. But if you DO do a marine, make it armor.

Turn it into a weapon/item that can be equipped, it's the only way I've seen it work.

For the elite turn it into a playertype.

But that defeats the point of having it as a spawnable armor, doesn't it?

The only gripe I have with this is that it's a stick mapping thing, those tend to suck hard.  But it looks like bungee did a whole bunch of fixing up of it.  The only thing that would make it better is if you could have a snap to grid type thing, unless it does.
