Off Topic / Re: Computer doesn't work unless booted in safe mode.
« on: March 02, 2010, 07:33:15 PM »
My computer hasn't been working for about 3 days now. I only just got it to start being able to boot from safe mode (with networking) today.

What happens when I boot it normally is that it just lags too much. Basicly you can't click anything thw whole computer doesn't respond even if you leave it for about 5 hours straight.

So, I am now in Safe Mode posting this because I know atleast one of you can tell me what the hell is going on.

And hurry I want to play EVE. Safe mode doesn't run my Graphics Card driver to play games :(.

Back up your necessary files and try reformatting.

I have a friend who's half Japanese, half American, who's dad is really the old-school Asian type of guy. So when my friend got TWO ENTIRE Bs! on his report card, he took away his computer and gave it to his older brother. That sucks...

Wrong topic?

I love that episode just because of that part. Plus, with the music, it is perfect.

I loved how everyone jumps on the bandwagon just to 1-up the OP and the posters after him/her.

OP: I had to get part of my finger cut off because of frost bite.
1st Post: Well I had to get my whole finger cut off.
2nd: That's nothing... I had to get my hand cut off. I now have a prosthetic.
3nd: Well I have no hands and because I couldn't afford prosthetic hands, I had to get hooks.
2nd: How are you typing?
4th: I HAVE NO LIMBS!

And so on and so forth.

Bump.

No, it's a manual.

But it's apparently a companies "Private Manuel". Wouldn't it still be piracy?

3564
Also, I like how it's "FINALLY LEAKED". As if we were all waiting on it.

3565
Isn't this piracy?

Off Topic / Re: What math are you currently in?
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:40:59 PM »
I'm taking Core 4.

From my understanding, Core, unlike "traditional" teaching styles, blends together different "levels" of math and teaches them together.
It was created to see if students would learn it easier than the traditional classes. Unfortunately, this was not the case, so it has been discontinued.

Core 4 is the equivalent of basic Calc and something else, so next year I will be taking a full Calc course. And because I have already done all the "fun" elective classes in my school, I will be taking AP Stats as well.

Go math!

Also, because the Core program was an alternate to traditional, they used a test that was made up of all traditional problems. Kids that did well on this were put into the traditional courses. Everyone else was put into the Core program. A few kids, such as myself, ended up not doing as well in a traditional setting and excelled in the Core program. But because the test was just a pass or fail test, all the kids that were "too cool" or "too stupid" were put into it as well to see if they did better. And because of this, the Core program was dubbed "SpEd Math".
That is what ticks me off the most because most of my friends that are in the traditional program think that I'm an idiot because I learn differently. And the most "humorous" part about it is the fact that I am smarter than my friends in so many more areas, often times including math. Yet, they insist on calling it "SpEd Math" and won't take my math skills seriously.

/rant

Looking forward to next year...

Is the MME the Major Match Personality Exam, because I have to take that this week.

It's the Michigan Merit Exam or MME

Wouldn't yours be MMPE?
