Still crashes. I haven't tried it on another PC yet, but that's my next priority.

never in my life have i heard such an absurd thing
and frankly to state it that openly makes you look like such a richard

It's a stereotype of California. People say that because in cities, people that know how to drive in traffic look rude, and people that don't are incompetent, making the whole look bad.

gamecube bitches!

but by-and-large because of air ride and double dash and melee and paper mario and

you know what? because video games. that's the point of the system, and it pulled them off well.

Heck yes!

I mean, for almost every flagship series Nintendo owns, there was a great GC game for it. Super Smash Bros Melee, Kirby's Air Ride, Paper Mario/Double Dash/Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Starfox Assault, F-Zero GX, Wind Waker, WarioWare, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime, Pokemon Colosseum, etc. Then there was all the new titles that came out for the GC like Pikmin 1&2, Animal Crossing, Baten Kaitos, Battalion Wars, Custom Robo, etc. Plus there were a bunch of awesome third party exclusives including MGS: The Twin Snakes, Smuggler's Run: Warzones, Billy Hatcher, etc. And on top of all that, there were awesome multiplatform games like Harvest Moon, James Bond: Nightfire, Metal of Honor: Rising Sun, Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Resident Evil 4, Sonic Adventure 2, Soul Calibur II, Viewtiful Joe, etc.

Too much good on one console.

Though, PS2 would be my runner up. So many creatively awesome games for it.

Help / Re: How to make a dedicated server for blockland windows 8
« on: June 12, 2013, 08:42:30 PM »
C:\Users\*myuser*\Documents\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated -pathprofile c:\path\to\server folder

Ok I understand now. The command "-pathprofile" that you're adding to the end of the shortcut is telling it that it's getting its Add-ons and preferences from somewhere other than your \Documents\Blockland folder. If you just want to use the Addons and preferences in your regular Blockland folder, just make the target line say:
Code: [Select]
C:\Users\*myuser*\Documents\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated
Make sure to replace "*myuser*" with the actual name.

If you do want to use another folder for your server addons and preferences, then create that folder somewhere else and note the path. For example, if you create the folder ServerStuff in your normal Blockland folder, the path would be C:\Users\*myuser*\Documents\Blockland\ServerStuff. With that in mind, the target field of the shortcut should look like this:
Code: [Select]
C:\Users\*myuser*\Documents\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated -pathProfile C:\Users\*myuser*\Documents\Blockland\ServerStuff

From what I can tell, it seems like you're putting the wrong commands into the shortcut target field. Can you copy exactly what's currently in the box?

If you have it set to use only safe connections it will probably be blocking all blob download connections (Depending on what firewall you are using)

I'm just using Windows Firewall, and it seemed like it shouldn't be blocking Blockland. I'm checking my anti-virus to see if it's messing with anything. I might go ahead and disable both of them just to see if it'll work with both of them out of the picture.

Quick question before we can do anything else, can you host non-dedicated servers?

You might not have access or something to download the mods, if you want you could just download like every mod on RTB so you wouldn't have to download them when you join the servers.

That's an option. It just dawned on me that my firewall might be messing with things, so I'm currently checking to see what permissions are doing what.

Why couldn't it just be plugged back in?
How are they doing this?

Trying to come in here to debunk everyone's claims lol

Also chill out forum honestly its not that big of a deal I just thought it was somewhat funny I've already been removed and dealt with by my adviso. Dunno why everyone is trying to bitch me out here

It's because you're being a tool. If you've ever worked a job, you know it's hard enough just to do what's expected. If some little jerk comes along and screws everything up, that means that in addition to the hard work you do everyday, you also have to sort out a handful of other problems that shouldn't have even happened. However, your school's IT staff are idiots to not have the routers locked away.

Can you post a link to the tutorial you're following so that we can see which step you're trying to work on?

After trying to join a few servers, I've figured out that I can join any server with the addons I have installed, has only default, or has only one or two that I need to download. I'm thinking it's a problem with my computer, but it might be a problem with my router. Luckily, I have access to another PC at the moment, so I'm going to try Blockland on that one.

Interesting. I was just able to join Placid's server. Maybe it has to do with certain host's add-ons.

I made sure I ran Blockland as Administrator and I renamed cache.db, but I still go the error. I'm attaching the most recent console.log.
