Well, what if you don't have the tutor and mommy or daddy is doing it?

Given the right curriculum, parents can become as good at public school teachers. Out of all my years in school, the teachers have pretty much given us work from a book. That book tells you how to do the problems, gives examples, and quizzes you so that you learn the material. All the teachers really need to do is further help the students when they don't understand. Now, if a parent was given that same book, wouldn't the student be able to receive the same education?

And again, home schoolers can still interact socially if they decide to do so. There are hundreds of programs for just home schoolers such as sports, extracurricular activities and field trips. Not to mention all the after school activities that are also available to home school students.

He looks stoned out of his mind.

As for his earring(s), they look gay. Get a bigger stud or something that isn't a stud.

I like how funny Japanese signs turned into an argument about racism and knowledge.

At the very least, 4 channels: All, Server, Team, and Buddies.
All: If you feel like talking to everyone. This would be a general chat.
Server: Talk to the people on your server.
Team: Good for TDMs and such
Buddies: With RTB's new Buddy system, this would work perfectly.

And possibly a 5th channel, Direct chat, which would allow you to "Call" an ID for a 1-on-1 chat. Kinda like a phone.

Also, an ability to mute players by typing in their ID's.

Off Topic / Re: Zombie Survival list
« on: September 04, 2009, 02:03:41 PM »
Going to update list a bit and it'll be easier to read:
  • Clothing
    • Long sleeve shirt
    • Cargo Pants
    • Knee high rubber boots
    • Hoodie with hood tucked in unless of rain/cold (Tucked in because it's one less thing for a zombie to grab)
    • Work gloves
    • Goggles/Sunglasses
  • Backpack/Pockets
    • Large Waterbottle
    • Sewing kit
    • Flintstones (Preferably on a necklaces so that if I lose my backpack, I can still make a fire)
    • Knives (More than just one in case I lose any)
    • Map of local area (I'll get new ones if I travel a long ways)
    • Whetstone
    • Canned food and a couple of boxes of cereal
    • Hand-Crank LED Flashlight
    • Hand-Crank Storm Radio
    • First-Aid Kit
    • Small set of basic tools
  • Weapons
    • Machete
    • Both a .22 and a 9mm pistol (Commonly found ammo, I'd swap out for the lightest weight pistols I can find)
    • 12 gauge shotgun (Commonly found ammo, swap out for the lightest weight rifle I can find)
    • I'd look for silencers so I won't draw as much attention to me
    • Possible: BB/Pellet Gun (Depending if it can kill or not. If it does, I might just take that instead of the rifle)
  • Transportation
    • A mountain bike (I'd can find/loot/steal one of these if given the opportunity)
    • -I'd travel in groups of about 4, small enough to check for bites/have enough food, but large enough to hold out in an area for a few days.
    • First place I'd travel is to the nearest gas station, and from there, the nearest superstore. Once at the superstore, I'd scout for zombies, then after eliminating them, find CB-Radios and scan for other survivors. I wouldn't stay in once place too long or get comfortable because once you start doing that, you find that you have more necessities then there are really necessary. Eventually, I'd try to get to the nearest Cosco or other store like it.

Mobile phone w/ inbuilt GPS & shortwave radio

I wouldn't need a jumper, as moving at night is generally a better idea, since you tend to exert yourself less when it's colder and the movement will keep your warmed (or at least I do) - and sleeping during the day also means you don't need to carry blankets unless it's a very cold day.

You'll also note that there are no firearms in there - firearms are large and heavy, the noise would theoretically attract more zombies, and you need to worry about ammo. Plus I live in Australia, although there are several .22 and .30 rifles in this house.

I'm going to criticize you a bit M:

A phone might not be the best idea. If cellphone towers get knocked down, then you're pretty much out of luck. Also, charging could be a hassle.

Traveling during the night also limits your visibility. You wouldn't be able to see zombies as well, and spooked survivors might shoot at you thinking your a zombie.

As for guns, while some of them are pretty heavy, they're getting lighter and lighter. I'd at least have one gun. Fatigue can play a huge part while fighting, and after killing a few zombies, you can get pretty tired. At the least, I'd have a handgun for backup. At the most, I'd have several guns for defending against mobs of zombies. If there are only one or two zombies, I'd use a sword or blunt object.

I hate the DS. I think they could have done a lot better graphic-wise. The only reason is that I'm keeping it is because of Scribblenaughts. Opposite of Crunchie, I think that the DS was born for FPSs on the go. I loved Medal of Honor for the PSP, but aiming was so hard on it. With the DS, you can pretty much have PC controls which make the gameplay a lot better. I personally liked the C.O.R.E. game, I had a ton of fun with it.

EDIT: Edited.

Games / Re: Phobia of underwater monsters. D:
« on: September 04, 2009, 10:11:48 AM »
Allow me to explain. When I play a videogame, and I end up in a pool of water more than 5 feet deep, I litterally freak out. Especially if the water is foggy. For Example, HL1: All those Itchyosaurs. The moment I found out they existed, I instantly began to fear every body of water in the game. I can't even progress any further in HL:Opposing Force because of all the itchyosaurs. :c I'm even afraid of the pool in GM_Construct.

I don't really think of it as a phobia as much as deep murky water being creepy.

ITT: Creepy Videogame monsters.

I'm not alone!

I hate the water in 2fort, you never know who's going to be in it.
