Well done screenshot, I wasn't expecting transparent backgrounds.

This is happening to me too. I'm on firefox, and I'm trying to input "Script_ServerPolling" but it's not allowing me to. It just sticks at "Script_.zip" and doesn't add the rest of the characters.
Fixed. Apparently Chrome has a Javascript function that Firefox doesn't.

When will required add-ons be added?
After the initial release, I'll sweep around and start putting in new features again. For now, I'm finishing what's already been started and cleaning up bugs.

Ah, fantastic. It's been pushed again.

Notable progress on the add-on front:

Alpha 1

As promised, alpha 1 has been released!

Notable changes:

  • Browsing history buttons are in
  • The mod manager is now accessible through a keybind, which defaults to ctrl m
  • The keybind can be changed by pressing the "keybind" button

Enjoy! The nightly builds will now be on the development branch. You can pick-up the alpha here.

The file came straight from Greek2Me, it certainly wasn't intentional. I'll see if he has a decompressed version, but I don't see it as a big issue.

Gamemodes require a colorset.txt, and the script searches for any add-on containing a valid colorset.

847
I'm not sure which ones will be used, and it's meant to be dynamic, so it's easier for them all to included until release.

There's no obfuscated code?

848
To be perfectly honest, the session bug is really pissing me off. I have no clue at what point it decides to create a second session without destroying the previous. I'm not sure how that's possible actually.

Nightly Update 7-20

I've been doing a bit more site work the past two days, which is why there was a lack of a nightly yesterday. There's nothing special today, however I'll be releasing Alpha 1 tomorrow.

  • Upon loading a page, you will now automatically scroll to the top
  • Implemented browsing history. There's no buttons yet, just console commands.
  • Began work on statistic collection. The information collected will be used to show developers both the usage of their add-ons and the adoption rate of new versions.

All that I'm planning on doing before Alpha 1 is adding a button to the main menu to open the Mod Manager and adding in the forward/backward buttons to make the browsing history actually useful.

Instead of failing them and resubmitting, you can just ask a moderator (me or Greek) to move it.

edit: same thing with renaming.

851
GUI Edits is for anything that modifies the way Blockland looks, for the most part aesthetically. GUI Clients are, for example, a CityRPG's custom gui. Everything else that's client sided would fall in to Client Scripts.

Content is just generally anything that has a model or an image and doesn't modify the way the the game is played. I'll move environments over to that, actually.

852
Per Greek2Me's request,

This isn't live yet, I want to make sure it won't break anything. After it is moved over, I'll (and maybe with Greek's help) move over the current "Scripts" in to their correct categories using our nifty new Moderator tools.

Any thoughts? I'm considering moving "Environments" to "Content"

853
Environments have been added.

I feel like music will be more trouble than it's worth. I'm going to take the same stance on that as RTB, it isn't worth doing the copyright background research on each uploaded song. Majority of Blockland music is technically illegal.

A few things:

Welcome Pecon as our first reviewer!

On the final upload page, I accidentally left out the redirect when I rewrote it a few weeks ago. It should redirect now, and if it does encounter an error, it'll print more info so I can debug better.

I'm still not sure what causes the multiple-concurrent-session bug, but I believe I've fixed it. Any "logged out" session is now immediately destroyed after the page loads, so it won't stick around.

855
It's supposed to be a diagnostics page in the case that something goes wrong during the upload process. Given how volatile session have been recently, it may be related. I'll investigate.
