would you consider reapplying the thermal paste in those GPUs?
Planning on it. I have some liquid metal I want to use but I think the heatsinks are aluminum. I'll need to order some other TIM.

2006 was quite the year for desktop PC's

Core2 Quad QX6700 - The first consumer quad-core from intel
Nvidia 8800 GTX - The first DirectX 10 GPU, the first CUDA accelerated GPU, first GPU with unified shaders, first GPU to support 3-way SLI, first GPU with 768MB vram, first 384-bit bus-width GPU
Hitachi HDS72505 - First consumer 500GB hard drive, first consumer SATA 2 drive

SLI bridge, case/fans, PSU, and CPU cooler are new. Everything else was either manufactured in 2006 or early 2007.

It can actually runs games and use all 3 GPU's without crashing. The GPU's get EXTREMELY hot because their thermal paste has turned to dust in the last 12 years.
Despite the boot drive being from 2006, it doesn't take too terribly long to boot into Windows 10, could be faster if you used Windows 7 or Vista.
4 of the 5 drives are in a raid configuration for my Steam library and none of them show signs of dying.

I'd like to get all matching SATA cables and a case originally from 2006 in the future. However a PSU from 2006 is where I draw the line...

I found this pretty cool life hack a while back
It's a bit tricky but apparently you can use the inside of a female's vagina to jerk off your snake.

Should I ship him my dead 8800 GTX inside the 1080 Ti's box, or is that too far?

Hi! Looks like I accidentally sent you two items. Guess I lost my mind this morning when I shipped the same thing again.

Would it be possible for you to send the extra item back? I would happily pay for shipping.

Just asking again if you would please return the extra GPU that I sent by mistake. I would be happy to cover shipping and send a extra fee once I receive the card. I recognize that this is my mistake. But I would definitely appreciate if you would return the extra item. Thank you. William

Dude. Sooner or later you have to ask yourself what kind of person do you want to be. I truly believe in Karma. What you give, how you act, who you choose to have in your life, creates your future reality. I try every day to be the best person that I can. I do not have any financial problems, and live a beautiful life. I don't need the money, but I would be less of a man if I did not ask for you to return the item that was sent as a mistake. I am sure that you live in the life that you created for yourself. I wish you good luck with your endeavors.

I can't believe a cryptocurrency miner is giving me a lecture on Karma.

So I recently bought 3 GTX 1080 Ti's on ebay from 3 different sellers for slightly above MSRP... 2 for my gaming PC, and 1 for my encoding server.
But today, a 4th one arrived, and sure enough, on ebay I get a message from one of the sellers that they accidentally shipped me the same card twice...

As far as I know there's nothing Ebay can do about it, and I'm also pretty sure the seller was a miner as they were selling like 3 other models of high-end GPU's.

One one hand, forget cryptocurrency miners, and how do you "ACCIDENTALLY" ship the same item, to the same address, on 2 different days
On the other hand, that would really suck if it were me, and he has my address and my name... but he lives halfway across the country.

UPDATE: I have sent the seller an additional $200. This is the optimal solution for me as I am not completely loving him and if I feel remorse in the future I can just send him more money

Badspot should create an alternate account and post a drama topic with the title "post in this thread to be permanently banned" but not ban anybody that posted in the thread until the next day.
