Off Topic / Re: What is the easiest coding language to learn?
« on: April 01, 2011, 04:57:46 PM »
I've heard Visual Basic is easy. If you want to do some web development, look into JavaScript.

I really recommend learning C, though. It's not the easiest language, but it gives you a healthy respect for what higher level languages offer you and do for you.

Curious, is there any proof that the RTB account is his? If he never made an account anyone could have made it. Not saying he isn't guilty, just throwing it out there.

Can't seem to get passed 6.

EDIT: Might have found out how to pass 6, it's definitely more involved then the others.

If it wasn't for atheists we'd still be in the dark ages , dancing to the sungod because the sungod is not a sun , but is infact a god. It orbits us and winers are there because god hates us , not because of winters.

I could write you a mile-long proof that god does not exists , and I certainly will tomorrow , but I have to go and sleep now.
Haven't there been a lot of theists that have progressed our species through new ideas and concepts? I think it requires someone with an open-mind more than someone that doesn't believe in a religion. I'm sure there are quite a few close-minded atheists, although there are probably a lot more close-minded theists.

christianity is not a cult
If I'm not mistaken it started off as one.

Off Topic / Re: The sound in the back of your head...

Can't always define things by the book. If it's quiet, and the only thing you can here is coming from the back of your head, it must be silence.
Therefore, silence is not silence, but a sound. :cookiemonster:
Isn't silence the lack of sound, the same as cold is the lack of heat and darkness is the lack of light?

I'd imagine the noise you hear when everything else is quiet is a mix of blood pumping in your body/your heart and electrical noise.

That reminds me of the video game heroes showdown where MasterChief lost to some less known character on the first round. I believe it was due to a post on 4chan, but I could be wrong.

Sadly, it looks like Valve is losing...

BioWare, better, win. They have the grand successes of Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age under their belts.
If we are talking successes, Blizzard has three extremely successful game universes.

I don't mean to sound like some crazy Blizzard fan boy, and BioWare is a great game company too, no doubt about it, but really.

In the end, LaCuckooRacha has it right, though.
It's a contest to see the interest in certain development teams as of the current year.  Mojang is currently winning, not necessarily because it is better than other companies, but because it is a point of interest currently and has been getting a lot of fame.

appealing to dumbasses is bad and they should feel bad
How are they appealing to dumbasses? You just seem to hate them for some personal reason that isn't justified.

820
because they milk the hell out of a warhammer ripoff and a 40k ripoff
They clearly did something right, considering their profits and awards.

blizzard deserves to lose
Why does Blizzard deserve to lose?

822
I can't see the votes, so.

Mojang is catching up.

Notch tweeted it.

It doesn't really matter bioWare is going to take first.
I think Blizzard might. Considering the user base of World of Warcraft and that Starcraft is pretty much a national sport in South Korea.

Mojang really shouldn't have beat Nintendo, considering Nintendo has been making games and platforms for a lot longer.

It's tempered glass. Actually it's transparant active ions.
No wait , it simply has a shield like the rest of the ship.
Yes.
It's transparent titanium!

Amazing ship, though. Very impressive.
