as much non christian as i am, i still love jesus's "i help those who help themselves"
people who deserve to be rescued, are only those who clearly did everything possible first.

I'm just saying that if someone talks about how they have to "deal with it" shouldn't they be striving to live in a better world?

By your logic, you're saying that it's perfectly fine to live in stuff.
