I'd just move to another country that isn't nuked.

If a conflict like this sparked and ended the infrastructure of the U.S., it would most definitely end the country that fired at us, or at least cripple it.

It's not like when someone gets nuked, the whole damn earth gets nuked too, unless the intentions of the country was to destroy everything.

It's been hinted at that his parents aren't exactly the most reasonable people. If he disturbs them, there's a good chance they're going to get mad at him for disturbing them so long as the situation isn't dire.

I'd stomp down there, and if the parents wake up, I'd tell them that I am almost a full grown adult and deserve responsibility over my backpack.
