This is just a simple thread with simple tools that work really well.
I'm only working with software, so don't expect much hardware tools.

First off, we have adware.
AdwareAdwCleanerAdwCleaner is exactly what the name is, it cleans up adware. It scans shortcuts, folders, files, services, and looks in other locations like browsers to find adware. It's simple to use: click Scan, and wait for it to finish. Once it's done, just hit the clean button and your computer will restart, possibly removing all traces of the adware.
It's being updated constantly, 4.0 came out a week ago. It's not complicated, and works great for most confused people who don't like to do things manually.
MalwareMalwarebytesAlthough Malwarebytes has a pro version with a few additional features, the free version gets the job done right. It has a large database updated constantly, and can sometimes find viruses other antivirus software companies haven't found yet. Malwarebytes also has it's own Chameleon software, which allows it to bypass rogue software, so you can clean up software that tries to prevent antiviruses from running. Many versions exists for many kinds of people, including repair shops and businesses. It's very trustworthy, incredible, and is insanely user-friendly.
Boot CDsHiren's Boot CDHiren's Boot CD is a massive boot CD with loads of tools, and even a Mini XP. Antiviruses, Backup, CMOS/BIOS tools, it has it all. Fits on some CDs and is installable onto a USB drive for also bootable use! Not much to say, it's a excellent piece of software.
Falcon Four also gets a honorable mention for being another big boot CD.
If you guys have any other interesting software, let me know what it is and I'll go check it out. I'll make new sections, so you don't have to just limit yourself to the three I have already.
