EAS stands for Emergency Alert System, by the way.

It's a 3 parter, so for those TL;DRers:
A virus which causes increased aggression and other symptoms leaks out into a unknown source (Not telling ending due to spoilers), and it spreads throughout almost all countries.

It's not all EAS, it has some fake news, and REAL VOICE ACTING??? Well, it's only for like a few characters, but you don't see THAT everyday.

Anyways, lemme know what you think. I enjoyed watching it.

Off Topic / experiences with douchebags
« on: October 19, 2014, 08:55:02 PM »
any age, any kind, etc.

>goes to birthday party for kid i don't even know
>get to party room
>kids starts opening presents
>bored, takes out DS
>kid argues that it's his because i took it out during that time
>ignore him
>kid walks up to me and tries to take it out of my hands
>yank it back, runs out of party room
>sits outside playing game
>kid starts making up more stuff
>kid takes DS, throws it on ground and breaks it
>filled with the fullest of rages
>yell at that kid so damn much
>parents pin this on me
>grounded for a month
>didn't get a new DS for a year

I loving hate rich kids. And douchebags. And both combined.

Experiences with other kids, adults, or douchebags like this?

Here's what it looks like:

Honestly, it doesn't look THAT bad.
Some things were moved, but it's easy to get to.
I don't care about the icon either, it's not that small of a change either, like the Steam icon. They just made it red.

The iOS 7/8 like style works nicely.

What are your opinions on it?

only 2 buffs and 2 debuffs
ex:
Autistic Guy
+ Annoys people to death
+ Distracting in cases
- Does a lot less damage
- Hard to control

Alex/my OC
+ Big ass sword deals lots of damage
+ Fast attack speed
- Mobility crippled/massively debuffed, cannot jump as high, moves slow
- Due to size, large hitbox

Off Topic / Who do you think is a Mary Sue?
« on: October 18, 2014, 11:48:10 PM »
Be it someone's OC, a cartoon character, a forumer, anything or anyone, really.

Bill Cipher is obviously one, with his ability to know almost everything, invading minds severely easily, steal souls, and other stuff.

quickedit: this is what a mary sue is

Off Topic / killercop's recommended tools for PCs
« on: October 18, 2014, 01:35:12 PM »

This is just a simple thread with simple tools that work really well.

I'm only working with software, so don't expect much hardware tools.
Click the images to get their DL link.

First off, we have adware.

Adware

AdwCleaner
AdwCleaner is exactly what the name is, it cleans up adware. It scans shortcuts, folders, files, services, and looks in other locations like browsers to find adware. It's simple to use: click Scan, and wait for it to finish. Once it's done, just hit the clean button and your computer will restart, possibly removing all traces of the adware.

It's being updated constantly, 4.0 came out a week ago. It's not complicated, and works great for most confused people who don't like to do things manually.

Malware

Malwarebytes
Although Malwarebytes has a pro version with a few additional features, the free version gets the job done right. It has a large database updated constantly, and can sometimes find viruses other antivirus software companies haven't found yet. Malwarebytes also has it's own Chameleon software, which allows it to bypass rogue software, so you can clean up software that tries to prevent antiviruses from running. Many versions exists for many kinds of people, including repair shops and businesses. It's very trustworthy, incredible, and is insanely user-friendly.

Boot CDs

Hiren's Boot CD
Hiren's Boot CD is a massive boot CD with loads of tools, and even a Mini XP. Antiviruses, Backup, CMOS/BIOS tools, it has it all. Fits on some CDs and is installable onto a USB drive for also bootable use! Not much to say, it's a excellent piece of software. Falcon Four also gets a honorable mention for being another big boot CD.

If you guys have any other interesting software, let me know what it is and I'll go check it out. I'll make new sections, so you don't have to just limit yourself to the three I have already.

Off Topic / I had a weird loving dream about Ebola-chan
« on: October 18, 2014, 12:39:54 PM »
No, not literally.

I'll try to explain it as much as possible, some of it's a little fuzzy.

So I was at my house randomly doing stuff, and I think I went to 8chan and went to it's /ebola/ page. I made like a bunch of posts, all which gave me some good rep apparently.

Then LATER, my father said there was a new Jack In The Box in town and we should go there. However, this Jack In The Box was different. It had like a main floor, and a basement floor that was like a mini arcade. I went down to the arcade, and there was a DDR machine. I think it was Stepmania modified, because I could pick custom dancers and there were a lot of non-DDR songs. Apparently there was a Ebola-chan dancer, so I picked that.

I played 3 songs, all which I can't remember the name for due to it being a dream. Then once I finished the last one, the game froze. Not entirely, though. Ebola-chan was just walking around the screen, I guess waiting for something. I apparently ran into some sound...room, that was in the arcade. I don't know why. Apparently I could modify stuff on the DDR machine's screen, and I somehow wrote "Ebola-chan, could you somehow come out of the screen and give me Ebola, that won't kill me, but allow me to spread it to others?" Then she somehow had a heart above her head, everyone gave me weird looks, and then she flew out the screen towards me at the sound room and the glass broke and she reached me.

Then I woke up.

I have no idea what the forget that means, or why it happened.
Discuss weird dreams or this dream.

Don't you just love console modders?

I swear to god, the making of the PSX, Xbox 360, PS2, and all those other consoles into portable stuff is great.

This is a step further.

Off Topic / Going to sell my Xbox 360, got any tips?
« on: October 17, 2014, 01:53:19 PM »
So I'm going sell my Special Gears of War 3 Bundle Xbox 360. Of course, I'll format it, remove any traces of accounts, and get everything nice and packed.
However, there are a few things I need to do.

1. LISTING SITE/PLACE
There are a lot of sites out there. Craigslist, eBay, Amazon, they're all pretty nice. However, some have their ups and downs.
Craigslist
Ups: Easy to make a listing, simplistic site, app for submitting
Downs: Common area for predators, killers, and other bad stuff
eBay
Ups: Famous site, lots of listings, trust system
Downs: Uses shipping most of the time, cannot afford at points
Amazon
Ups: Another great site, custom listings
Downs: Same as eBay, also I don't know if registering for a listing is complicated

Which one of these would be the best? And if there's another one, let me know.

2. PRICE
A bundle will have a power, video, console, 2 controllers, and the game.
I'm giving only 1 controller, the game, the console, and power.

Does that affect the price in any way? Any recommended prices?

3. LISTING TIPS
I have no idea on how to use ANY of the sites. It seems simple, but I don't know. How should I list it on one of the sites? What should I include?

Let me know what you guys have tip wise, and thanks.

Off Topic / Come up with status effects for a RPG
« on: October 16, 2014, 07:15:49 PM »
Come up with a name and description. The description can be funny or serious. Name has to be relevant too. A color for the effect would be nice too. Also, if it's funny, you can grab some effects from other games and kinda shorten it out.

Status: Jelloified
[excessively long] Description: Cave Johnson here. I've recently discovered some new tech after merging with the famous company you know as Jello. After experimenting with science I've recently discovered this can be used as a shield. It will encase you in Jello.

I've got some good news and bad news for it. The good news? The Jello is so resistant to other items you'll be protected for -2 turns.- The bad news? Well, since you can't really move in Jello, you're gonna be stuck in there until you get out. And you're probably trying to eat it, so you might get fat and slow yourself down. The stickiness is probably gross too, so there's that.

Cave Johnson, we're done here.

In short, Dig without the attack for 2 turns, speed debuff, and in a rare case grossed out effect.

Off Topic / So what's so special about 4K and 5K?
« on: October 16, 2014, 03:18:46 PM »
I know they're higher definitions, but it just seems like it requires much too high of specs, and you require like fiber internet (Google Fiber) just to get a good streaming.

Attempting to use either on my PC did absolutely nothing. Just lagged and didn't even show the video.

What's so great about those defs?
