Off Topic / Re: Bushido passed away
« on: January 19, 2024, 01:39:48 AM »
Bushido did some really great things for this community, from the weapons and vehicles and mods, his amazingly detailed buildings that he hosted frequently, hell the Bushido Cars that he made were one of my favorite vehicle mods because he just got it. I swear if Badspot had hired him to model for this game and bring life into it, it could have done something, but of course Bushido had better plans than to stick around here.

I haven't had a chance to see him these past few years, haven't been on frequently, but back then he was almost an idol, you knew that if he was around, there was gonna be cool weapons to play with, discussion about the next update on his projects, he just always had an aroura not of roosteriness or anything, but of being confident in his work and giving us the opportunity to play with it. I say this because I was on the anti-bandwagon of the T+T weaponpack, partially because I was just so used to the old style weapons, thought that adding ammo and all the great things he did do would be silly.

Boy was I wrong, and it was probably because I just didn't like how fast it became popular and used, and for good reason. He made a damn near perfect weapon pack for a video game that didn't deserve it, yet he poured a lot of work into perfecting it, balancing it, adding multiple skins. He was ahead of his time that's for sure.

Rest in Peace Bushido, may your family take care and forever be happy with the time they had with you, as you will be greatly missed by many friends and family alike.

I had similar gripes and gave bushido stuff for his weapon packs, failed to see why anyone would use them over gravity cat's. Ignorance sucks, never knew the guy but I honestly feel bad for never reconciling with him.

Your packs were great and I even considered using your base for a halo mod that never came to fruition. RIP, hope you're clowning on me from wherever you are now.

Also it's good to see you Dill.

Hey thanks! I'll check it out when I get fully set up at my new place.

I saw recently brickadia gained a lot of traction on youtube. I'm under the impression a lot of the users from blockland are tied with that project, but i don't recognize a lot of their names.

Hi. Old user checking in here.

It's been a while since I've last visited partly due to my negligence. I made a password that was just a pain to remember but finally got it after my 22nd try! I see the forums is still up and running and semi active? I throw that term around lightly because it looks like a bunch of other subs are just gone and dead. It's nice to see the community still partially active. I used to frequent the forums way before discord was a thing and would have the tab opened waiting for drama or a cool topic to be created. I loved seeing everyone interact with each other here, it was very "homey", if that makes sense. Discord has revolutionized the way we communicate online so you rarely see forums like this anymore unless you're in a super niche part of a game's cultural zeitgeist. I really miss when this forum was active constantly churning bans on problem users. It felt tedious keeping up with everything but if you were on top of your stuff it was fun.

I still see and remember a lot of the names from topics made within the span of a couple weeks. It's sad to see recently a couple of members have passed away in my absence. I've met people on this forum that I never hear from anymore and it really tugs on my heart strings because I used to play with these people, gossip, build, create, etc. Now they're gone and I rarely catch brief glimpses of activity if I have them friended on steam. I guess I'm feeling nostalgic and popped in to say hi, if anyone of you reading this remember me. I'm the guy who used to take everything out of context and tried to one up everyone. I had a massive ego but those problems are gone because life changes a guy.

How has everyone been?

Trust me get a 1 bedroom duplex/apartment. I make enough now that I can reliably splurge a couple checks then and now without worrying about rent. It's the most amazing feeling in the world waking up worriless.

Anyone who abruptly jumps to communism has never lived in a communist society. Venezuela was anti capitalist and thrived under socialist reform, then a nasty human took office and plunged it's people into chaos. People are still grinding gp and selling for currency just for a meal or two, maybe less.

There isn't a form of government that truly puts it's people first because the ones in charge always go mad with power. MM if you took office you'd undoubtedly find a loophole that secures your position over the people, over time you too would go corrupt. So don't subjugate yourself to that anarchy bullstuff.

Work out, eat good, sleep well and quit force-feeding yourself useless stuff. You'll find life more enjoyable with just a little bit of apathy.

They're optional. You can have them forward in certain states, or backwards, or both if you're dumb. I only see ones on the back but occasionally trucks will have them posted on the front instead of on the trailers.

you can buy the older supras just fine, they're still around and still look nice. to my knowledge, they're not any of the 1/2jz engines. i think they rep the 7M-GTE engines, not a whole lot of horsepower but they still kick if you tune them right, cast iron so unless you're straight dumping undiluted mixture, they should hold just fine.

it's leaning more towards Annoying Orange imo, if we wanna be super meta about this, every major event that has transpired within the united states within the last eight months has radicalized more voters to either side. green party is dead, so that's an obvious out.

i don't want to be complacent with Annoying Orange but i know a lot of people personally would rather trust the devil they know instead of the devil they don't. not saying joe is a devil by no means, but it's pretty clear that the call for justice reform and you know whats did more harm than good, creating more and more votes for the opposition.

i don't blame them, i'm pretty indecisive about this. it should be clear who to vote for but there's evil on both sides.
