I think thats more of an artist's visual confusion as to why warwick seems too busted.

mainly because checkpoints only trigger like 50% of the time so you might have to completely redo a floor because you died at the end of it.
flood were 90% bullstuff until halo 3 so that added to the stress. loving shotgun and rocket flood spam.
Not to mention the seemingly endless carrier spawn on certain floors, or that chucking a grenade in panic launched them towards you sometimes effectively killing yourself in the process.

Off Topic / Re: my friend thinks cicadas are cute
« on: January 08, 2017, 03:44:32 PM »
Don't ever keep them though, they feed on tree sap with a long probe that erects from the shield like plating they have on their face. They won't feed on anything else so they'll starve if they don't have a tree in their habitat. Generally cicadas only emerge every 13 years or so but there is enough of them in the ground that you'll usually see them every year.

The buzzing sound you hear is when they seek mates. They rub their wings together to create the noise you hear, only males do this. If you snap your fingers to emulate a female's response chances are you'll attract a male and he'll land on your hand to investigate. I've had this happen a few times during the summer, and it's really fun if you can snap loud because you can direct them like sonar.

I know a lot about cicadas....don't judge me.

Don't always buy things new. You can easily save yourself $200-400 just by looking around. A friend of mine recently picked up an I5-6600k for around $65 dollars because he outbid this guy on ebay. I've seen 1070's go for as low as $80 on the winning bid.

People keep claiming that drug and alcohol abuse was the cause of death for Carrie Fisher, does anyone else believe this? It's plausible there's more to this, because Carrie did have some mental issues.

Off Topic / Re: Combine vs. Empire Thread
« on: December 28, 2016, 06:07:25 PM »
Combine aren't nearly as big a threat as the Empire. True we've only seen a glimpse of the combine on earth, but other than that they're just your usual planet hopping conquering run of the mill enemy alien faction. Their only super heavy weapon shown up until this point would be a strider.

Practical sense in mind, stormtrooper armor is made to make projectile weapons obsolete, kinetic energy weapons like rifles won't kill a stormtrooper like it would a normal human. You need a high grade energy rifle to even get by the armor, and even then the stormtroopers seen in the movies don't always die when they get shot. Their armor can disperse the energy of a blaster rifle, which will knock them out but will save their life. It works and it doesn't work, it's not a guarantee they'll survive but there's also a chance they won't die.

Haven't even thought about the empire's more secretive weapons. There are some weapons in the star wars universe that make the deathstar look like a toy sword.

To be fair they still haven't tackled the sim speed issue. That's something i've been on about for years now with them. You can't touch anything with a massive ship without the game loving itself over. Single player is fine for obvious reasons.

But don't you need to do physical training? That's what I was referring to
A week of on/off physical training at least. If you're already in good shape, you won't break a sweat. Pt for the police force is vastly different from army Pt in the fact that you just need to maintain a good shape, It's mostly cardio so yeah there's some running/laps/miles involved.

actually as a law enforcement officer you're almost guaranteed a job right out of training. Agencies can choose to vouch you into training where you will become hired if you pass the final at the end of the 9 week academy, which is paid for by the way.

I'm nearing completion of my degree and I'm already being contacted by various agencies around my area.
