everyone likes to pretend that roblox had a downhill death spiral beginning with erik's death or ticket removal when i can vividly remember people complaining a forgetload about the game back in like 2010-2012 well before either of these events occurred
roblox has been regularly criticized ever since a couple of years after its 2006 inception and nothing has changed since
and yeah this stuff has been pretty obvious for years at least to me. unless you are one of the most popular games on the platform (adopt me) you arent going to make a significant sum from the devex program. ive viewed this as the cost of convenience: roblox provides you with the engine/distribution platform/infrastructure/etc in one package but at the consequence of roblox largely being the one reaping the rewards of your work. roblox is fine if you just want to screw around and make games for fun but if you are serious about game dev and profiting from your work then you are much better off going straight to a proper engine like unity and building from there

This, I'm not entirely surprised either. People had called out against ROBLOX for shady business before especially during 2011 when Telamon made the decision to make Sword Fight on the Heights VI BC only and that caused a lot of outrage that he made forum post as to why he did it. Even more fuel was added was when they released their first TV ad which included the infamous phrase "IT'S FREE!" at the end which sure as hell pissed everyone, including me and my friends at time, off.

I'm not sure if charges will be pressed against ROBLOX which are very likely but I'm certainly going to have to speak with my mother on this to have my baby brother stop playing this game. It's sad what this game has become but I already left the game by 2014 and it was already transitioning to what it is today so I can't say I'm not quite upset on the matter either just indifferent now.

This guy and someone on my team were bickering over something completely trivial mostly telling each other how much they suck at a certain class. Fun times.

Way stricter than rural california. Urban california is probably about the same. Youd be surprised what you can get away with in rural california. And what you cant get away with, alot of people simply take a "vacation" once a year anyway to another state.

I mean that's not surprising given that rural counties here in California tend to lean "right" or conservative (which is really more moderate than you think) than in urban areas. If I had to be honest, it's mostly Southern California is where all that wacky clown stuff happens. But however I guess you have to include San Francisco too. Elsewhere though like Northern and Central Californians are okay people (With some exception as I said earlier).

By all means I've since moved up north, still in the LA county mind you, where I live now is a much smaller city with most of our neighbors being more moderate just like my parents are honestly so I can believe that.

New york seems good, I wouldn't call it bald eagle land if you are wanting to use firearms, as they are stricter than the rest of the nation regarding that matter.

I was wondering when someone will make an addon that gives the builds structural integrity similar to the game Valheim with it's build mechanics. This is a great mod tho, hope to see it get expanded in the future too.

General Discussion / Re: How active is Blockland right now? (Not very)

Other optional questions:
- How many hours do you normally spend on Blockland when you play it?
- What’s your favorite server? Do you host?
- Do you have Steam or real friends that invite you to play?
- What would get you to play Blockland more often?
- If I added a fellacio mod to Blockland, would you play more often?
- How handicapped are you? (I’m “moderate to severe”)

Also I forgot to add a “I haven’t played in months” option lol

- I like to check up on the game once in a while. Ususally about 2 - 4 hours long depending on what I'm doing.
- Smore's Medieval CTF and Polar Pandemonium. Yes I do host but it's password normally to work on a build of mine.
- No not really, in fact the only group that occasionally hosts a server don't play much as on Blockland anymore so I'm on my own there.
- More servers and game modes personally.
