Server CPU usage = # of bricks * # of players
More bricks = more lag

You can't run a really big lag-free server without using terrain or interiors.
true, true.
But with the complication that terrains and interiors make, even kompressor said, that the removal of them will make the game faster.

I swear, almost every single post I make, people try to flame and disprove / talk trash about it. And, if you aren't one of the 50% of the "Grammar national socialists" on this forums, you get trash talked for needing better spelling or stuff. I try to be nice, but there are a lot of ignorant asswipes on this forums.

Implying that shadows and shaders will lag less
at least on my computer :/

Terrains and Interiors just lag overall... they are too complicated of a code with torque, which results in lag, so that is one of the reason why they are getting removed.

Wait.... I never knew you had to find ammo (or it was hard)

Yes! Finally a server with people that understands that ammo doesn't magically appear from thin air!
(So I'm guessing, melee is more popular then guns?)

The solution is to give everyone a combat knife when they spawn.
This.
But won't some players start free killing? Or at least there should be some mini-quest thing to get one.
(Like one in the safe area?)

Triple post because... Dunno...

I'm thinking about removing Rotondo's L4B shoving. It gets abusive and is annoying to moderate. The shove also means weapons such as the Sniper Carbine, MGs and whatever other weapons that require a right-mouse-button function don't work properly.

To balance this out however, I'll introduce melee weapons such as knives, bludgeons and pointy things.

To stop melee weapons from being over-powered and ultimate tanks, I would remove Rotondo's shove.

So you have two choices:

Remove shove, introduce melee weapons.
Keep shove, no melee weapons.

This could also introduce spawning with a weapon.
If you're not using the critical mod... I guess I like the idea.
