You dont de-lid a cpu to replace it, you only do that to switch the thermal paste on the cores below the cap (even I would not do that). All you do to uninstall a new cpu is take off the fan, open the clamp, and pull it out. To put one in, you gently place the cpu in, close the clamp, and and put on the fan with thermal paste.
I remember installing my Intel i7- it actually came with a fan, which was a pleasant surprise. probably not the best fan in the world, but I saved money by using it.

Anyone who recognizes this is awesome. If you've ever played an R-Type game, you know the feeling of approaching a massive alien several times larger than you.

The one bad thing about SSDs are they have a limited write amount, after you go over that limit they won't work properly anymore. (But it's really high, you may never reach it unless you constantly write to it)
but HDDs have moving parts, which can wear out as well

Go to options > advanced and toggle "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects"
This worked.

could try updating your videocard drivers
I'm gonna try this

Damn you got a good ass video card (for rendering). It's not really meant for games, how much performance do you get out of it??? To answer your questions btw do what the other guy told you, if that doesn't work it might be your graphics card, I forget what they are called but I think they are called artificats.
Yeah this card is supposed to be used for graphic design and stuff. It runs most games fairly well, with decent settings. Blockland runs smooth-as-butter without shaders enabled.

Help / weird screen artifacts?
« on: May 23, 2013, 04:42:20 PM »
after playing on a server for a few minutes, strange shapes begin to appear randomly. These shapes make the game unplayable. This hasn't happened before.
also, some bricks appear floating, or simply disappear altogether (see third pic)

my specs:

I have also linked a console.log. Can anyone fix this?
