« on: September 04, 2010, 01:31:49 PM »
I want an iPad just for one reason:
My school hates MP3 players/iPods, but won't take them away. Usually, they just have you take off your headphones/earbuds/whatever and turn off the MP3 player/iPod.

So, what I want to do is take my iPod Touch into class as well as the iPad. When the teacher asks me to stop, I pull out my iPod Touch (which my headphones won't be connected to), then reach into my backpack, pull out the giant iPad and place it on the desk, disconnect the headphones from the iPad and put it back in my backpack.

ONLY reason I want an iPad.

The Android port for the original Touch Pro is pretty amazing too. The processor in my phone is nearly 500 MHz slower than the one in the HD2, but performance is godly over Windows Mobile.

The only things they need to work on is the multitouch pad on the bottom of the phone acting really strange in Android, and fix the power button/some of the physical keyboard keys.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz
nVidia GeForce GTS 250 512 MB
4 GB DDR2 RAM
1.5 TB hard drive

And the ability to work without being plugged in for 60 minutes thanks to battery backup.

This is the car I'm getting in 3 months. Not this exact one, but I'm going to try to find one that's the same/similar.
It's a Chrysler LeBaron from 1994 (or 1995).
I seriously can't wait. Convertibles are awesome.

EDIT: There's something about this car that makes me, when I get it, want to put on some aviators and just drive around.

Well, by the two or three posts I've seen by him, he doesn't know what he's talking about computer-wise.

I DONT CARE LEAVE ME ALONE!
In other words "you're a huge liar who hasn't used Ubuntu or has used it on a super low-end/old PC."
Good job defending your statement that Ubuntu is slow.

@DrPepper: I think your PC should be able to run Ubuntu fine, since it isn't a huge resource hog.

More serious than I ever will be on this forum.
Then you weren't doing it right.
Ubuntu is one of the more faster operating systems around.
I would know this by experiencing Mac OS, Windows (almost all versions) and Linux.

I wouldn't buy from Dell if I were you I've had bad experiences with them.
Such as the cheap glue on the monitor melting and then having the monitor falling apart.
Ironically, the monitor I got with my last dell back in 2006 outlasted the PC itself.
I still use it up to this day.

>implying Core 2 is bad
I wasn't. I just get questions saying "LOL OMG WHY DON'T U HAVE CORE i# YET" all the time, and want people to know that I'm not replacing a processor that I find still pretty powerful. I'd have to buy a new processor, a new motherboard and new RAM. That's for an entirely new build altogether. If anything, I'll upgrade the Core 2 Duo to a Core 2 Quad before I even build a new PC.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz
4 GB DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)
1.5 TB Seagate Barracuda, 80 GB Maxtor HDD
EVGA nVidia GeForce GTS 250 (512 MB)
Intel DG45ID Motherboard (with integrated Intel GMA 4500HD that I've only used once)
Corsair PSU, 450w

AND, TO TOP IT ALL OFF...
APS Back-UPS battery that is able to power my entire desktop PC (monitor and the PC itself) for 60 minutes without power. Awesome for power-outages.

Oh, and to clear things up as to why this doesn't have an i3/i5/i7 processor yet: I built it in 2008, where Core 2 stuff was pretty forget-yeah.
