Oh well, I'm still getting an HP Mini-Note 1000 XP soon, and I don't care how much pre-installed software's on it, I'm reformatting it and giving it a fresh install of Windows Vista. (I have a Windows Vista Ultimate disk that I don't use because all my other computers have Windows 7)

I sold a similar laptop like yours, Packer. It had no trackpad, just the little red joystick-mouse thing. It sold with a lot of stuff. It even had the docking station. What's your ThinkPad's specs?
Oh, and considering that my Eee doesn't have a good battery anymore, and the fact that it can't run any sort of games, I'm gonna most likely get an HP Mini Note 1000 XP for High School next year. (My high school allows laptops for every class :D)

Way too thick and heavy. 6 pounds isn't actually too bad, thinking about it.
Just get a desktop PC. Laptops aren't meant for gaming, and you won't be able to take that laptop anywhere.
I have a lot of complaints with Asus.
When I got my Eee PC 701, first, they didn't include all the accessories with my Eee. It was missing the little carrying case that came along with it, but I didn't really need it. The battery started charging less and less almost immediately after buying it, I contacted them about it and they said "it was normal". So, I had to bring the charger everywhere, and when I was getting tired of the battery losing it's battery life all the sudden, I looked all over Asus' website for a battery, and they didn't even sell them. I called them up, they even said to me "We don't sell batteries"...
Oh yeah, and they voided my warranty because I added more RAM to it.

« on: April 23, 2009, 07:30:37 PM »I hate my laptop. System Requirements Lab says I can run Half Life 2 at full setting somehow and yet when I do try it I can't even run it at lowest settings without getting 15 FPS on the first City 17 level.Specs?
Also, my old Gateway M675PRR had the same thing, where FN came before Ctrl.
Now I don't really care because the hinge broke for the screen, and I put it to a special use...
