Dig, how do you like your Core 2 Duo? I was going to get the 3.15 one myself but they didn't have it for a socket 775 at the time, so I just decided to go with the 2.8.

Oh, and upgrading to 8 GB of RAM this summer.

Obviously not if you can't even spell "goes" right. This is for more than just BL.

So it scans on TF2 and Gmod too, but you only really notice it on Blockland?

Yeah. It's most noticable on Blockland, but it's noticable on TF2 and GMod and other source games.

This has been driving me almost insane since I moved into this new house.
I'm not able to have an Ethernet cord going into my room, so I'm forced to use wireless.
For some reason, Windows 7 decides to scan for wireless networks, even after I've already connected to one.
Now, the lag isn't too unbearable for games like TF2 or GMod, but for Blockland, it's terrible. The lag can last as long as 15 seconds. It apparantly has something to do with WLAN Autoconfig, but disabling it does nothing but completely turn off the wireless card. I've tried programs like Vista Anti-Lag, but again, does nothing. I even have the wireless card set to not look for any better preferred wireless networks, yet it continues to do so.
Is there any way to fix this at all?!

Wireless card: Linksys WMP54G
OS: Windows 7

tl;dr: Just close out of this topic. You're probably no help to me anyway if you can't bother to read the whole thing.

Well you can still keep the um.
Speakers, Keyboard, Mouse, Case, Hard Drive(though you might want more room), cd/dvd drive..
Any peripherals.

The speakers were absolute crap. Why would you want to keep it?!
Keyboard fried on me the first day. (I had a computer similar to this).
I actually re-used an eMachines case at my dad's work and put an HP motherboard and parts inside it (the case that had the motherboard and things broke). It's called the HPmachines. :D
The Hard Drive is total crap.
CD/DVD drive would most likely be worth keeping.

I like getting a small sample that I can play as much as I want instead of only getting to play a few hours on a full version (I barely learn how to use it and then it's over ):)

Many iPhone apps are like that.
Take "Zombieville USA" for example. You get the demo version, you read the instructions, learn how to play.
You go to play it, and you finally finish level one.
It asks you to buy it, and it's over.

It's a perfectly fine case and you can easily upgrade it. (I think, unless it's some handicapped compact case with no room)

Hey lookie here guys, it appears that this computer isn't even a gateway. I just looked up "gateway w3400" on google images, and got this.

That's right, it's a stuffty budget PC made by not Gateway, but eMachines! The worst computer makers ever!
If he wanted to upgrade it, he'd have to get a whole new motherboard to prevent it from exploding.

My Gateway M675PRR laptop from 2004 has better specs than this piece of garbage.
3.2 GHz Pentium 4
2 GB of RAM
30 GB of HDD (I need to upgrade this)
ATi Mobility Radeon 9700 (128 MB of VRAM)
Runs Windows 7 perfectly.

You got majorly ripped off.
