I think the main difficulty I will be having is when I'm done with the arena, and I have to do the understructure for the CCC, consisting of hallways, rooms, and the booth area.  I will also include a food court just for the heck of it.

Brick limit by default is set to 256k

Currently cannot be set higher.




How the forget does it get that high that fast?

I think each section had about 30k, and I had some loose bricks because of testing that was about 140k

So in my continuation of this build, today (as in right now) I wanted to see what the entire arena area would look like (I also cleaned up the bottom of each floor so that the default brick undertexture can't be seen).  So i start duplicating the large section that I have shown you before, but with the new updates.  I got to duping three full sections, then on the forth, it didn't duplicate all the way.  I was very confused, so thinking that it didnt't build all the way because some bricks were hanging, I clicked enter again, but no luck, still wouldn't duplicate.

That was when I was like "SHIIIT!"

I pondered the reasons why this might be, then it dawned on me.  I typed in /brickcount, and turned out I reached my brick limit (256000), which I could have swarn I changed to 99999999

Change "player" to "client"

It seems like relays only work for a player through one brick. So when another person triggers the same brick, it commits itself to the new player, taking away the relay from the original player.

Combine these statements and I believe you got it.

If you change all "player"s to "client"s, then it should work.

But I would suggest using the Hunger mod for this, unless you include certain hunger aspects such as speed of the player, starving=no move playertype. 

I had been thinking about doing a completely realistic City RPG with what you are doing here, ie VCE functions for hunger, hygiene, sleep, etc...

I don't think i'm doing that because my PC is terrible for Blockland and i crashed on your server and No, I no longer use that stage i'm working on my new project.

Why is everyone confused.

I don't want a video with all the detail with different scenes and such, I want four consecutive prints that form a "The Sims" Tv like thing.  It's mainly for detail in things.

Let's go with a simple example.

1)Take a picture of a Blocklander standing.
2)Have the bocklander jump
3)at the zenith of the blocklander's jump, take another picture.

Make those into prints.

do the events as i said before but with two prints.

Now you have a repeating show of a blocklander jumping.

Add a third print inbetween the standing and jump and your are done.

Not as difficult as you think.

Everyone ends up on the exact same spot of the other elevator brick.

Not very realistic when everyone was originally spread out before.


Also if you want to create multiple floors, it would be difficult.  And sometimes, if the player doesn't move, then the onplayertouch event doesn't work.  So some people will be moved, and some won't.

If we'd prefer to make our own booth, is that acceptable too?

Trying to keep the model the same so it looks uniform, but colors and additional stuff can be changed.

Here is the color key for in game, the picture above is what my booth will look like.



This is the Save Picture, but it will have to do.  You can just use the color key and change stuff in game.

Red-the bars on the booth.  Rename these bricks and replace the RMBC part of the name with your clan abbrev.

Yellow-The clan abbrev. sign, just print yours on.

Green-The bars on the booth control.  You may need to change the name in "namedbrick" for the the new bars on the booth's name.

Light blue-Controls for special effects.  All there is right now is that the Clan Abbrev. Sign blinks.  Do what ever you want with Special Effects as long as there are no projectiles, no emitter abuse, no weapon spawns (items that hurt people), no music unless you use the 1/2 or 1/4 distance music brick.

Darker Blue-Clan Information.  People click this to learn about your clan.  Change the text, any additional text must be chat message.

Purple-No build zone.  Do not build on this, nor paint it.  The baseplate is just a place holder, the booth will be duplicated into the CCC and placed on tiles.

Pink-URLs to anything your clan has done.  Use the most impressive stuff you have.  Don't have anything?  Then get to making stuff.

White-Don't worry about this, it will be teleportation to your clan build at the CCC.  I just painted it because I didn't want anyone to be confused.

Brown-This is the area in which you can build and customize to your want.  Just delete the brown plate and build in the area it used to cover.

Grey-Paintable.  Paint the grey whatever colors you want.

Do not build on the booth, only in the brown.

You can recolor already colorful bricks to whatever you want, it was jsut used for a key.

Once you have done everything you need to with this, PM it to me, don't post it here, or you can meet me on my server and I can save it.

hmm.  Haven't really given much thought into the booth part.

I'll make a default booth (16x16) with everything you need and I'll post the save here.  Then just change up the information for clan name, abbrev., clan info...and include it with the clan save.  All clans need to submit the booth.

for each shot it would be 4-6 different prints. at least 12 shots would be needed per second to make it look like it was actually moving so 6 x 12 = 72 prints per second
i don't know about you but i've got a pretty good idea of how badly my game would probably lag from that if i had about 3 of those screens working at once. 72 x 3 = 216 prints per second at that point
four consecutive prints? what exactly are you hoping to change to four non-moving png/jpg images with thousands of events? that isn't even possible at all. blockland has an event schedule limit of 1000. since its four prints together that would be 1000 divided by 4, meaning you could only utilize 250 events for each individual print. not like events can change how a print looks in-game anyway, besides what color it is (assuming its grayscale) and whether or not it's there.

correct me if i'm wrong once again, but you're asking for the impossible. gif prints are not possible. at all. the engine doesn't allow for it. however if you're looking for a bunch of simple prints to form a simple 1 print, 1-second video, i'm sure it can be done, like mega said.

Looks great, love how you always build huge.
Although you will have a huge problem filling those seats...

Yes huge, but I usually aim for realism.

The vast majority of builds in blockland, and lego, are not to scale.  Houses usually have doors with the ceiling directly on top of it, in lego, only one minifigure can fit in the front driving area, while usually two people sit side-by-side and can even fit another person on the center console.

I also use math and comparative measurements when making my builds-had to do this with the Colosseum because i had no definite dimensions for the various features of the Colosseum, so I measured the height of a man in the pictures I used, and used that amount as my base unit. 1 RL man = 1 Blocklander size= ~5 bricks high.

For things that I can measure around the house, like house height, I use my height as a comparison because where I stand in a door is about the same as a Blocklander in a JVS door.
