Oh get your panties out of a bunch, you pusillanimous individual.

You guys really should learn to not use phrases in situations where their previously-defined symbolism doesn't work.  Nowhere do I ever become too aggressively upset over any trivial issue.  Disrespect is rampant in this world, and if the human race can end its egocentric attitude in life, we would be a better species and would advance civilization to a point where it actually is civil.  Disrespect and mistrust are the basis for accidents and malevolent deeds.  Saying "Trayvon is a stuffty name" is disrespect for the failure of the state of Florida's judiciary that is the Trayvon Martin incident, a case whose resulting decision was unfair.

Also, don't comment on anything from the first page without reading the following pages, you end up looking late and stupid.  Read through the entire thread if what you want to comment on is on the first page.

Help / Re: How to make a code lock door using VCE?
« on: August 24, 2013, 01:24:57 AM »
Lol, forgot I saw "VCE" in the title.  Your best bet for the fastest way of doing this is what I wrote out in code boxes.  The other stuff I typed down were methods I used in the past for more design-oriented approaches instead of gameplay-wise.

Well, there are many methods you could use.

The easiest way for you to do this is using VCE to set a specified variable of a player, which the door then checks, and outcomes determine what happens

Some Random Brick
Code: [Select]
[0] [Onactivate] [Client] [VCE_Modvariable] [Password] [Set] [1234]

Door
Code: [Select]
[0] [Onactivate] [Client] [VCE_Ifvariable] [Password] [==] [1234] [1 1]
[1] [Onvariabletrue] [Door] [Toggle]

But, if you want to actually type in a password, you could use event mods like CMD events or any one of the onplayermessage-like-events which come with some outputs to test if the password is correct, or you could get the password mod that adds some events specific for passwording for things like doors.

yeah, hi, history of mental illness here, i can still agree that cyber-bullying is loving pathetic

as a matter of fact I've been cyber-bullied, and looking back on it I cringe at how much of a little bitch i was
starting stuff about cyber-bullying in an obvious troll topic is also "causing real problem", the problem being that you are handicapped

there isn't even any "cyber bullying" in this thread, just a tribal joke, what is wrong with you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qPr1W_EXftA#t=103

So let's see.  You had a mental illness and yet you use "handicapped" as an insult?  The hell man?  It wasn't even a good joke, just a bunch of racism.  Wanna make tribal jokes, make it about everyone.  That's why the good comedians are good, they include everyone and enunciate their own race's issues.

Racism is bullying, and racism on the Internet is cyber-bullying.  Ergo, there is cyber-bullying on this thread.

"And I can totally agree with your point about you being a bitch, it's how you are acting right now" is what an inconsiderate starfish would say to you, which would be bullying.  Instead, I say to you that you were being a bitch most likely because you were too young and feeble-minded to offer a response.

Also, this:

starting stuff about cyber-bullying in an obvious troll topic is also "causing real problem", the problem being that you are handicapped

is not a coherent statement.  Initially, you said my "starting stuff" was "causing real problem" and yet at the end, you said that "you are handicapped" is the problem, so does that mean giving my two cents on how the last polling option was disrespectful towards the recent Trayvon Martin case would make me handicapped?  Because if that's true, I guess you are calling everyone, who has spoken up about an issue, handicapped, and since that adjective holds meaning to you, and since we are all being so empathetic here, that isn't a very nice thing to say.  In fact, I'd hold it to the same level as a cyber-bully's comment.

cyber-bullying exists if you're a bitch

if virtual online words make you upset or depressed you need to follow these simple steps:

1. delete your tumblr
2. delete your facebook
3. disconnect your internet cable
4. man up

physical / offline bullying is a different story, but if you can't defend yourself online you must be pretty handicapped.

This is a terrible way to approach life.  There are people who are mentally unstable, and any bit of cyberbullying can send them over the edge.  Cyberbullying does not not exist if you are a bitch - if you refuse to acknowledge its existence, you are a bitch.  It is real, and is causing real problem.  School bullies in the past have been the most immature kids on the playground, but cyberbullying has pushed those bullies into second.  Not only are cyber bullies people who are insecure, they are also people that just make mistakes in their writings, are condescending, or just don't care how anything they type influences other.  Just because you take no personal pain from your own or someone else's writings, doesn't mean no one else will.

You cannot ignore cyberbullying - it exists - and by refusing to acknowledge it, you yourself are letting cyber bullies advance in their nefarious bullying.

-snip-

That would be a pasteriori of seeing the cyberbully's message, and could only prevent retaliation by the viewer, not bullying be the bully.  Although that is a rather humourus picture you got there, it is rather dismissive of the fact that cyberbullying exists.

don't say things like this unless you can cite it otherwise you look like you're just pulling it out of your ass

There is no need to cite any specific piece of evidence when there is evidence all around us.  Forty years ago, there was no cyber bullying.  Now there is.  That is a rise in cyber bullying rates, though a very simple example.

Haven't you been paying attention to any of those stuffty school videos we are forced to watch about bullying?  They said numerous times that cyber bullying is becoming more prevalent, and that it should be stopped.

A rise in cyberbullying is also logical, as technology becomes increasingly more important to us, and as more people gain access to the Internet, of course there would be more people that turn to cyberbullying.

But if reason alone isn't good enough, how about a quick google search of "cyberbullying on the rise", which returns many pages of information.

No one is going to cite material on these forums, that's a waste of time.  We may refer to a web page, but not cite.  And referring a page would only be necessary when typing out an important post where links would be helpful to the reader.

But if you are still a lazy hack:

http://teenadvice.about.com/od/schoolviolence/a/cyberbullying1_3.htm
http://www.peacetimesonline.com/news/2013/03/18/the-rise-of-cyberbullying/

All on the first page of google search results.

Help / Re: Tank-creation help (Turret & Steering)
« on: August 21, 2013, 12:06:57 PM »
It seems that if I enable the third mount-point on the tank I can get into the turret. But I don't want 3 mount points, I want 2.

I have only a linited amount of coding/modeling knowhow, but are you naming the mount point for the turret with the correct mount point name?  I'm taking a wild guess that the code indicates which mount point controls the turret, and the mount point name in the script has to correlate to the mount point on the turret.  This would be the only reason I could think of, if it were possible.

That's the joke;
And not everyone has the same sense of humor.

That is a terrible sense of humor.  Humor should not disrespect other people, nor should it hurt others.  We still have splits in society and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, loveual preference, etc., and bullying continues this discrimination.  Joking about any kind of stereotype is bullying towards that race/ethnicity/gender/loveual preference/etc.  when we stop making hurtful jokes, we begin the end of discrimination.

somebody takes this forum too seriously lol

Somebody takes this forum too liberally.  Albeit the forums are for an unserious game, it is still the Internet.  People are becoming too open and free in their dealings with other people, a result of lack of personal confrontation with the other person.  This is why cyber bullying is on the rise, people just type what they want and don't care about the results.  Had there been some kind of physical, irl forum where you can tack up a picture of something and jot something on a sticky note under said picture, everything would be much cleaner, friendlier, fewer arguments where people know they are wrong, but choose to continue their point because they don't want to "lose" the argument (that's you guys).  These little six year olds have immediate bravery when they are on the Internet, because they know practically no one could possibly track them down and confront them.

Though this forum can be taken with a grain of salt, that should only be applied to situations where there is no hurtful material.  So please, think before you post.  If there is any derogatory material, don't make the post.  I've written pages of material at a time, just to find how much hate was in the post, so I just didn't post it.  Also, less conceited material would be nice too.  Thes arrogant forumers are really getting annoying.

[edit]

What's worse is that the last polling option, the most disrespectful of the lot, has the most votes.

holy stuff I don't think I've ever seen someone who can't take a joke more than this guy right here.

Jokes are meant to be funny.  This is not funny, only tribal and covered in stereotype.

When using bricks for windows, don't let the seam be exposed to the open, hide the seam behind walls or along adjacent brick support beams.  The seams make transparent bricks look bad and unrealistic.

General Discussion / Re: Blockland = NO FAMILY ROLEPLAYS?
« on: August 20, 2013, 01:34:47 AM »
Interesting, haven't seen many family RPs lately either.  Yes!

There are a few good TDMs popping out now and then, but my personal favorite TDMs are default build TDMs.  They always have a certain appeal to them that no other TDM captures.

Get rid of that last option in the poll, why the hell do you feel the need to say that, especially after that failure of the Floridian judicial system?  I can't tell if you are deliberately trying to be a richard towards Trayvon Martin.

Cute house, but the background and purpose of the house are just so stereotyped and tribal.  You will never find a dadless, three-job-working-mother'd, McDonald's-enslaved kid'd black family living in a house like that.  They would live in apartments, not a shanty of a shed.

It would be nice if the central hub only used default everything, so loading wouldn't take long.
