Well, the shield blocked me from getting hurt.
It probably took a bit to actually break the generators.

It doesn't matter how strong you are, you need explosives to break the nodes.

1. Use sewing needle to take off hinges
2. Knock down door by pushing on it with the side of the needle
3. ????
4. PROFIT.

The nodes are reinforced, a knife cannot break them, plus you would be shocked by it if you stabbed it.
