Yes. But then your pilot keeps flying in the same plane, every time to find out that it broke. It's like you don't want to go into combat.

I get it if you do it 1 time, but multiple times? It get's annoying to me somehow.

I don't even see why people would just close the console the shut the game down. The quit button is accessible from the main menu and the escape menu.
