Fellow citizens decide if you deserve to die or not.

This topic reminds me of the conundrum of how 0.999 (repeating) is equal to 1.

Well, it practically is (in applied use, of course).

Technically, it isn't.

You can infer that one .999999999999999999999999... of a soda is "equal" to 1 soda (because it doesn't matter, really), but you can't really say that .99999999999999... actually equals 1.

OT:
1%, or 1/100, is definately not "equal" to 1/93. They simply do not have exactly the same numbers.

1% is not equal to 1.075268817...%.
Simply cannot be.

The point of my post was saying that 0.99 repeating equals 1. 1/3 is the same as 0.33 repeating, and when you multiply a 3 by a 3 you get a 9. So, just as .333 * 3 = .999, .33 repeating * 3 = .99 repeating.

You are wrong.

.99999999... repeating DOES NOT equal 1. 1/3 DOES equal .333..., but that goes on forever. So simply adding 3 1/3s does indeed make a 1, but multiplying .333... by 3 and saying that it equals .99... is simply ludicrous.

Sure, if it was .33 * 3 it would be .99, but we are dealing with infinite, non-terminating fractions and if you infer otherwise you break the simple laws of mathematics.

Well that's defiantly a plus, but that doesn't eliminate the networks problems. The network has barely or no good episodes of cartoons at all. CN is about the same, except a LANDSLIDE better.
