Well that was interesting. I shoulda had a bingo card ready, woulda gotten an entire row filled with that "She's giving transgender surgery to illegal immigrants in prison." bit.

I mean, overall Kamala did a good job a trolling Don into tantrums with the people leaving his rallies, and how the people at the school he graduated prefer her economic plan, among other things.
Kinda ticked she still used the same canned and misinformation-laden responses to the active genocide in Gaza, but honestly I didn't really expect anything better.
But, still more intelligible than the "hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants are stealing and eating dogs in Ohio" guy.

That's why I always wear earbuds to sleep listening to audiobooks, the whispering always keeps me up, besides my partner's work insurance covers an actually licensed therapist i can see during the day which is much more pleasant. I am not sure those nocturnal voices have actually have a degree.

Today's news is worthy of a whole new thread at this point. (7/31, it passed midnight as I was typing this up)

Israel has assassinated a senior Hamas member as he attended the inauguration of Iran's next president. Specifically, the senior member considered to be one of the most moderate and open to dialogue. Specifically the senior member who was the head of the ongoing negotiations. The negotiations that started back in May, that have only taken so long to begin with because despite Hamas giving up many of their desired outcomes, Israel has been dragging their feet. brown townysts are saying this will potentially completely dismantle all negotiation efforts so far, and prevent them from restarting as new leadership is found within the ranks of a now especially retaliatory Hamas. It has been said before in this thead that Netanyahu will likely lose his reelection if Israel is not currently at war when the ballots are cast, and it seems entirely his goal to ratchet up the stakes against the will of practically anyone outside of his far-right extremist nationalist allies.

It has been a while since I've posted, as the situation in Gaza has become extremely overwhelming. Despite supposedly being in peace talks, they have increased the number of raids and bombings significantly, making it nearly impossible to keep up with the number of concurrent tragedies between Khan Yunis and Rafah, both supposed safe zones.
Only 17% of Gaza remains official safezones but with how many attacks still are occurring in the supposedly humanitarian safe areas, this means very little. Still, to begin with, Gaza was one of the most densly populated areas on Earth:

and now to reduce that area to less than 20% of its original size is utterly inhumane.
Attacks are frequently being conducted now on UN Humanitarian Aid sites such as schools that are being used to house the displaced civillians.

Nah, but he trolled the Republicans pretty hard by waiting until after their multi-million dollar convention where they badmouthed him for four days straight, only to drop out of the race and endorse vice-president Kamala Harris to run in his place, basically rendering most of the rhetoric over the week pointless.

Also with how much centrists seem to like Kamala, the GOP decision to nominate JD Vance for VP is looking increasingly unwise as instead of going for a centrist to balance out Annoying Orange's right-wing extremism like they did with Mike Pence, Vance is more right-wing extremist than even Annoying Orange, and them doubling down on that has already shown to cost them support from the centrist Republicans.



Make no mistake, this is still a clusterforget, and waiting so long to drop out has definitely thrown more than a little confusion into the upcoming democratic convention as everyone who voted for Biden in the primary is going to essentially be disregaurded as the demcocrat district delegates cast their ballots on who will be the presidential nominee without input from voters during the primary election for the first time since 1972, and there is no time to organize a second primary election, especially in conservative states which will go out of their way to block staging additional elections.
