This Program that I made is about as close to that as its ever going to get without a major blockland update.

I have a feeling that you will spend longer downloading music than actually playing the game.

This topic is completely pointless.

You posted an addon that someone else made, your post consists of three words, and the EXACT SAME ADDON is in rtb. Publicly available.

so if you dont have rtb

The links are publicly available on the forums. halfwit.

Sometimes there are more servers than players.
But aren't the server hosts counted as players?

T-T-T-Torque3D!
um
no

Use Visual C++ Express.
Notepad++
I'm going to make you pissed and say my whole team uses Notepad++.
for general purpose: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=189473.0
Guys, he's not asking for a IDE, he's asking for a language.
Try out C#, it's very simmilar to torque, has simple syntax, somewhat easy to learn, and is generally a nice programming language.

Modification Help / Re: [Tutorial] Creating A GUI [Updated 1/20/2012]

Should I change Client_ to Script_ because some Client_ mods have not been automatically executing for some reason.
Make sure the .cs file is named Client.cs, not server.cs or something like that.

Goes into server
Everyone spams your name because they know you have this mod
> is annoyed at earrape

And 99.999% of people call me "ipq" instead of ipquarx. So this mod wouldn't really have any use for me, but nevertheless is a neat mod.
But it's not possible to make a chatbot out of this without major modification.

General Discussion / Re: Lol, can you hack blockland?
« on: March 25, 2012, 10:09:22 AM »
If fung comes to your server, turn on trace.

You can do this by typing trace(1); into the console (accessed by the ~ key) and pressing enter.

If he turns you into a boat, quickly save events, then turn off trace. You now have all the information you need to stop him.

Blockland doesn't need advertising.

Not saying that I want a small community, but blockland doesn't need advertising to be a great game.

This is actually pretty cool, but if you want to discuss more about the mod than your server, it goes in modification discussion.

Modification Help / Re: Find The Closet Matching String
« on: March 22, 2012, 07:19:45 PM »
Check how many charachters in a row from the second string match the charachters in the first string, with a larger priority on the beginning than the middle or end. Then divide that number by the total charachter count.
It's just an idea, but i'm pretty sure thats how the findclientbyname function does it.

This looks EPIC, but it looks like it would kill my 6 year old processor. :panda:

It's events. I know this because me and a friend were hosting a server, and he joined, but we were smart and turned on trace, and I had my chatlogger.

We found out it's done through events, among other things.

Modification Help / Re: Player variables
« on: March 22, 2012, 06:39:26 PM »
Do a dump of a clients player object to see all the functions and variables you can use.
Type this in the console to do that:
findClientByName(enternamehere).player.dump();
