That chart is skewed so bad because there's thousands of Android phone models and like ten iPhone models that are all similar to eachother.
So? He said "Everyone has an iphone" Every android device is not an iphone. And he said "iPhone is kicking androids ass." No, it's not. It may be kicking individual models, but not android collectively.

Do you care about removable/replaceable batteries?

like the crime itself is nothing, absolutely inconsequential, I couldn't possibly care less. But the fact that she thought she could get away with it WHILE BEING FILMED AND THEN RELEASING THAT ONTO THE INTERNET is absolutely stupid

Off Topic / Re: What computer viruses did you guys get once?
« on: September 07, 2016, 06:05:49 PM »
i'm gonna be a little pedantic here and correct your terminology
malware is a computer program that is intended to do some sort of harm or bad thing to the user
a virus is a piece of malware that tries to spread itself as much as possible by infecting other files and programs on the computer with itself, like a biological virus would
a worm is a piece of malware that also tries to spread itself, but unlike a virus, does not need to attach itself to other programs in order to spread itself. It may work through things like emails, USB drives and a few others.

a whole charged ah stuff dude idk if i have enough room for THAT
Apple is trying to paint the removal of the headphone jack as something that'll somehow make your life better and more convenient. I'm just listing off the ways that it's going to cost you more money and cause more inconveniences for you. Carrying around another charger doesn't sound like much, and it's not, but for the crowd that only uses apple things "because it just works," "because it's simple," etc it's one more inconvenience to add to the list that competitors don't have.

Oh and by the way if you wanna use those wireless earbuds you now have to carry along a charger (which will cost you a pretty penny if you lose it, you'll probably have to buy a whole new set) because the battery will barely last you a day if you're lucky
yay completely unnecessary problems!!!!!

When my iPhone finally breaks I'm going to switch to another conpany. Who should it be?
Take a look at the lineup of android devices out there. I personally recommend LG, but that's just a personal preference. There's a whole bunch of other just as popular manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus (which makes amazing phones for when you're on a budget), HTC, Google's Nexus and now the Pixel line of phones coming out soon, Sony, ZTE, HP, the list goes on.

I can get the phone for ~$400 due to my parents getting half off of Apple products. Also the 6 and 6 plus don't have stereo speakers, the new camera, waterproofing, 3D touch, etc. I have a 6 currently if you actually read the entire thing.
My bad. I meant the 6s/6s plus not the 6 plus. And you're right, it doesn't have stereo speakers or waterproofing. The camera however is 12 megapixels, with 4k video, hdr, stabilization, autofocus etc which is plenty.

I'm actually tempted to go with this as my next phone (sadly). After having my moms iPhone 6 for a while now, I quite like the features it has and I might be receiving an Apple Watch (1st series) 38mm... Also I like what I'm seeing with iOS 10. The stereo speakers and the camera on the 7 Plus intrigues me too, plus the waterproofing seems pretty handy. Yeah, it might have a 1080p screen, but iPhone screens have always been colorful and bright, so I won't mind. And no, I don't want it as a status symbol like most people.
Yes, I am bothered by the headphone jack removal though. I'm slightly relieved they include a little lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter and lightning Ear Pods for free though.
Just don't. Don't encourage their scummy practices. At the very least, go for the 6 or the 6 plus instead of the 7. You'll save money on accessories and your experience will be nearly identical.

also while im at it iphone's imessage system is incredibly useful and it's one of the big reasons androids are getting their teeth kicked in by apple. only thing that i'm pissed at apple for is their dumb iphone specific chargers. literally everything uses microusb except apple, but everyone has an iphone so the point becomes kinda moot.

You're stuffting me, right? You couldn't possibly think this?

you think that??????

you guys need to realize that this was inevitable

headphone jacks are incredibly outdated, and their mandatory existence gives a thinness restriction on all phones they are put in. now that apple made the first step, we won't have to deal with stuffty tangled wires (there are much cheaper bluetooth earbuds out there), and not only will companies now have more room to work with, there are not many factors keeping them from getting more creative with the shape / size / thinness of their phones.

if you really want those futuristic ultra-thin pads from scifi movies, the headphone jack was a necessary sacrifice.
holy stuff this is so wrong it hurts
1. no, this was not inevitable. nothing needed to be changed.
2. no, headphone jacks are not "incredibly outdated." They've been in use as long as they have been for a reason: they do their job PERFECTLY. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them. There is no issues with audio quality, there is no issues with latency, there is no issues with size. There are ZERO ISSUES.
3. If you have to deal with "stuffty tangled wires" then your wires are stuffty, too long and you're lazy. Buy a better pair ya lazy cunt.
4. Bluetooth earbuds are more expensive to produce, which means significantly less bang for your buck, and there are many, many disadvantages to them. One of them being half the time you can't loving use them with your preferred device. Everything about them bleeds more money out of the consumer for such little benefit it's laughable, AND it adds in more latency and possibly lower quality. It literally undoes everything that the headphone jack DID RIGHT.
5. The headphone jack does not loving "get in the way of creativity." Holy stuff that should be a loving meme. "GUYS HEADPHONE JACKS RESTRICT CREATIVITY OMG IT'S LIKE 1MM THICK SO BAD"
6. Thinness is stupid. Our phones are plenty thin as it is, literally nobody says "Damn, I would buy this, but it's 0.3 millimeters too thick." LITERALLY NOBODY. Literally EVERY SINGLE CONSUMER would rather have twice the battery life over half the thickness.
7. THE IPHONE 7 IS loving THICKER THAN THE IPHONE 6. The iPhone 7 is 7.1-7.3mm thick and the iPhone 6 is 6.9-7.1mm. That's right guys, they literally could have fit in a headphone jack and avoided this entire thing. They willingly decided to forget over consumers and bleed more money out of them just because they loving can. That is the definition of scummy.

>pay $700 for your phone
>forget apple

>previously paid good money for headphones
>none of your headphones work now because apple removed the headphone jack
>forget apple

>pay $150 for a pair of earbuds
>they sound like the stuffty $10 earbuds that came with the last model
>forget apple

>air phones fall out of your ear and into a storm drain
>forget apple

>want to listen to music while charging your phone
>can't, there's no loving headphone jack
>forget apple

>pay $70 for an adaptor
>forget apple

>forget apple
