also I just went back and skimmed through the first 500 pages (didn't read every single page, just quickly skimmed every fifth page up to 500) because I'm incredibly bored and don't feel like going to bed. I must say, holy stuff things were... argumentative, to say the least, back then.

Refrain from addressing the reader as "you".  Don't pull them into the paper as a character.  If you're addressing a problem, address it.

Don't use "David Davidson".  That's a joke name and you know it, I don't know anyone in the world named "Davidson" that isn't just a fake name from someone who browses /b/.

The part about "drama" in the 4th paragraph is stupid.  Actually, just rewrite the fourth paragraph or remove it entirely.


I'm being very critical because you're writing a serious paper and it's just... awful.

Update your network drivers.
That can fix network connections in some instances.
