Off Topic / Re: Government Shutdown
« on: April 09, 2011, 12:34:25 AM »
Off-topic: Sometimes, this makes me stop and think if 2012 is really coming with the events that have happened in the past few years, such as the global economic crCIA and the Japanese earthquake sending oil prices going up and a big scare of the reactors. But it's just a theory. Prove me wrong if you want.

On-topic: I think I heard of the shutdown happening because of people not paying taxes, sending the government into debt and unable to pay for anything. This would result in a lot of things closing down such as national parks and some other things. Happening because of the ... Japanese earthquake or Libya? Just a guess. I need to read up some more on it.

Also what Tom says is true.

Reviving topic commence! I need to go soon at the time of this writing but this is the only time I could get on so yeah.

Name: Bruce
Status: Well
Items: Hotel Keycard, ID, combat knife, 10mm pistol, fresh clothes, and some spare ammo hidden away
Karma: -11
Location: Kelton Hotel
Gained: Some fresh clothes
Lost: some cash
Cash: $2309

I decided to get out of the room and explore Kelton, making sure I covered up for the extreme weather and for concealment. I found a clothes shop and wanted some new clothes from the old clothes I have worn for almost 6 days in a row. I bought some new clothes and pants and started to change in an alleyway. I was worried. My target was the main goal and reason I was here. He was killed a month ago. The family may assume I'm dead and that douchebag of a cousin will take up my role in the family. I found the nearest pay phone and called long distance into Russia. I assured them I was ok and I had a little business to take care of. I hung up when they started to get all parenty and screaming at me.

Suddenly, a police car was heading down the road chasing someone else. I was lucky this time that they didn't see me. But after catching up with the speeder, the cop got out of his car and looked at me.

"Say. Isn't it that convict, Bob?" one cop asked.

"FIRE!" the other one screamed.

Without warning, they started shooting at me. The busy street went into a huge riot. I ran past it, dodging a few shots ending up against the wall or rioting people. I made my way back safely and quickly got into my room, seeing a dog and Jake.

having a legendary
/shades
O u

I see nothing wrong with a legendary. Yes I see that most of them have cheap stats and can sweep through the competition with ease but if Game Freak put it there, it was probably with good reason. Such as Victini or the Legendary Trio. The reason I still have Reshiram is because it is a substitute dragon in my party. I haven't caught or bothered to go back to the PC yet. Once I have the levels, I plan on catching Kyurem.

Escavalier is a steel type, any only steel type has 12 resistances.
Some of those resistances aren't resistances after slapping on Bug type.

Now, off the conflict of whether Bug types are any good or not (which most of them aren't. Key word, most.), need strategy for Cynthia. I don't bother waiting for Level 70 for a chance. I have Level 60 Pokemon: Haxorus, Samurott, Reshiram, Sawk, Darmanitan, and Krookodile. Anything I'm doing wrong?

I think this generation did a good job with some Pokemon. While others are way too overpowered to be called "good". Things such as Haxorus with it's monstrous Attack and Speed. Or even Escavalier with 10 resistances and also good Attack and Defensive stats. Overall, they could have done better passing out stats.

Whats the one move that doesnt let pokermen escape?

also how 2 bet elit for
Block or Mean Look. Snorlax especially can learn Block. Crobat/Gengar can learn Mean Look.

Beating the Elite Four. Tell me team. At least in this game, you can choose which person to beat first. Usually just sweep with the Pokemon that have the move and typing against the Pokemon. Ex: Krookodile against a Reuniclus since Krookodile should know Crunch and is immune to Psychic.

I caught Cobalion with a Great Ball, i think i had 10, now i have 5, i used a Litwick because all but one of his attacks affected it :)

Now i just need to become level 50 or 60 so i can take on the Elite Four

Also, who else is collecting a Deerling for every season? When i show them to the scientists, they now have a Deerling much like the one i showed them, but the one i showed them is still in my party, HOW DOES IT DUPLICATE LIKE THAT?
Respective little wall of text. Pic of Cobalion? All you need are a few good types against N. I caught a shiny Deerling and that was that.

Gonna use my friends AR hopefully ONLY for getting through victory road. I have no potions escape ropes PPups (EHLOHEHL PEEPEE) or revives
It wasn't that hard to get through Victory Road than other games, say Diamond/Pearl. I was stumped for a while and then realized you had to slide down a different path. From there, I got into Victory Road and got a Deino along the way. Revives, well, I just bought at least 30 of them along with Max Potions and Repels and proceeded to stuff on stuff. Not to mention lose tons of money like that.

N and Ghetsis were stuff on by the likes of my Seananners (my Reshiram) and my Sawk. The Elite Four were too easy. I had everything to counter them. A Revenge-capable Samurott for Dark types. Crunch and Foul Play capable Krookodile for Psychic. Sheer Force Darmanitan for Fighting. And the other type of Elite Four I forget. After that, I made my way through the Level 60 users and ended up being swept by a Garchomp and Double Teaming Spiritomb. Jesus Cynthia is tough.

I wish more moves were able to hit people using Double Team and still have tons of power. I could not deal with the Nimbasa City gym very easily since the gym leader used her Emolga and Double Team. The only thing I had was a Spark-using Blitzle. FFFF

I guess I'm a bit late on this? Anyway, GT is craig4x.

I have Reach, Halo 3, Black roosters, Mw2, and WaW in case you're wondering.

My level 60 Sawk will crush all physical attackers. Carries Rocky Helmet for physical damage and can do damage with Counter and Reversal. Also goes with my Haxorus for some good sweeping of the Pokemon League.

Off Topic / Re: Selling Pokemon Cards
« on: March 26, 2011, 08:12:56 AM »
I probably have roughly 740 cards lying around that I know of and keep on my shelf in my room. If I kept all the cards I give away, I would probably have about 1300. That leaves about 400 I lost and another 200 something I have given away.

I personally hated four attacks on a guy when I played DPP, but one of my friends who got BW asked me to check what has the most coverage, so I figured I'd dump the info somewhere as well.
Why? I usually use 4 attacks on a pokemon unless it is Double Team or Nasty Plot
