So today, L4D2 was on sale for Xbox for only $10. Immediately when I got home I bought 800 microsoft points and went to got download the game. Well I click "confirm purchase" and an error message came up. It read something a long the lines of "Clear system cache and reboot" So I did and still wouldnt let me buy it. I reboot again and go to L4D2 and its now listed at $30. I'm like wtf is going on. I go to Xbox.com and try to buy it through there but I cant get passed the account security thing. I call Xbox Support and I called in for "game purchase and download" support. He tells me he cant help me and tells me he'll redirect me to a "account specialist". After 20 minutes of waiting I finally get connected. He asks me : My name, telephone #, IP adress, router and modem model, account email, system ID, and a security code. He asks me to reupdate my console, so I did. Still the L4D2 thing is not working. I redownload my profile and still nothing. So he gives me this code and tells me if it doesnt work today, call back tomorrow and tell them what happened, how I called in, and give them this code he just gave me. The worst thing is, Xbox never put up a facebook post or anything saying that game deals weren't working. (It wasn't working for many people)
Anyways, the guy I talked to, the "account specialist" was pretty cool guy. Asked me if I was going to a party or see fireworks. We also talked about some games at E3. Then he asked me what I though of the new console. I told him it was interesting but I wasnt sold yet. I also told him how its funny the was Don Mattrick of whatever acted during E3 especially what he said about the always online and xbox 360. I spent a grand total of 1:00:41 on the phone with support with no luck. Hoping that either A)They will fix this soon or B)If they dont fix it today, that they'll run a deal for all those games again.
Anyways I'm wicked bummed right now. And thats my little rant, discuss.
