I love how people are blaming him for taking his stuff for mobile music listening outside and it getting  stolen.

Doesn't change the fact that what the dude did was loving illegal.

It's piqued, not peaked. >:(
No, my curiosity has a peak :P

It was autocorrect though, I was using my phone and I must have misspelled piqued on accident. I promise that I'm smart :(

When the majority of the impoverished spend their money on sneakers and new phones, that's when you draw the line and realize the extent of welfare abuse nationwide.

Giving money to these uneducated people will not help them, forcefully sending them to educational institutions will help them. Otherwise, the money will keep going down exponentially. That's not to say that some people desperately need welfare though.
shoes and phones are needed lol. Not having shoes or phones put you at a massive disadvantage.

Think about it, a phone is literally access to all of the information in the world. Imagine that for a second.

We need phones.

Look at like any of the dwarven/falmer dungeons, they are generally complex

his point was that the skyrim dungeons are all linear. the images you posted all attest to that fact.
yeah sure, most of them are linear, but if you simplify the dungeons down to that point, you are kind of misrepresenting the dungeons.

I wasn't showing the map of a tower, I was showing the general pattern that Skyrim (and probably fallout 4) follow.

hmm thats weird you can literally google skyrim dungeon maps and none of them fit that.
bleakcoast cave
bonechill passage
embershard mine Like literally go to UESP and you'll see how few maps follow that formula.

You played an starfish, just like real life :D
I wish you were here to be in it so you could have killed yourself, just like real life :p

VARIETY
ooh nice job showing literally one type of dungeon. GG. Apparently the tower areas in forts are every dungeon

I watched the whole thing and took some notes. It was actually very good.

This looked like a lot of work-- I hope you got a good grade or at least extra credit for it.

A few shots (especially the wormhole at the start) were way too long and could've been a 1/3rd of the length. Dramatic effect (and it was pretty cool) wears off fast, but I guess you had to make it work with the music.

Your greenscreen edges are pretty choppy and I might have blurred the edges of the characters a little to make it a bit less noticeable. The mic drops suddenly going from beautiful audio quality to something that sounds like it was recorded on a mobile phone. All the dialogue was fantastic.

Fat Ash is a little hard to take seriously in an overarchingly serious film. The bloom effects and increased saturation was very clever to give it a "happy" feeling. Reminds me of Rivendell in LOTR. You seemed to know your effects capabilities very well and stayed in a manageable area. Actors arguing with themselves reminded me of Gollum. I saw no cuts (multiple shots) or lighting problems (greenscreen) when you had clones of the same character on the same page so whatever you did you did very well.

When the guy in the endless white void is being narrated over he just looks like he is bored. Like you shot the video when he wasn't looking or something. In a few shots the actors stuttered but you kept filming. I probably would've reshot. The lightning differences between scenes instantly changed the mood and were pretty clever. You used the same gunshot sound two times in a row and that was pretty noticeable.

During some lines the actors looked like they were struggling not to laugh.

The plot was very symbolic but there comes a point in which trying to make it too "cerebral" can cause it to make no sense to anyone but art critics and the director. Overall it was extremely well done for a highschool/college short. I've made a few student films but I'd be too embarrassed to post them here. They are really cringy. Good job.
A lot of the audio/greenscreen issues were an issue of our deadline, they will be fixed for essentially an "hd release."

Wouldn't a gunshot make the same sound both time anyways?

The reason why there were a bunch of themes generally centers upon the fact that our film was a replacement for a lecture, and in return we had to do at least one philosophical topic for each portion. Ash symbolized eternal reoccurrence    for instance, white void guy symbolized some god stuff, and my part satirized Hard Determinism and Machiavellianism. There were more, such as some Plato's cave allegory stuff and Descartes, but those were the primary topics.

I really appreciate the feedback, we are always looking to improve for our next films and such. I had a blast, as tiring as it was.

ditto

I watched it again (and googled what psychosis was) and you did a very good job expressing what psychosis is with the white void character and the Ash character. The white void character had the best example of psychosis. Great job, I hope you get an A.
Thanks! We did :)

I dunno.
Do you know how many American TV shows/cartoons/comics/books/movies/etc.. that have had stories based on people looking for Bigfoot?
He's clearly an important part of what America is today. Also, it's a joke. :)
I know :)
