Well it does depend, if its 800 polys and super textured with crazy fancy stuff, then it will be as laggy as 1200 polys with not that fancy textures, maybe just simple solid colors, right?

Well, I'm not going to say he sucks, the models are pretty good, accept for the last one, which, uh what is that?
Anyway, the models are good, its just they have lots of little glitches.

Now that you edit it, it makes slightly more sense.
It would be better if you said:
800-1000+ Polys = Lag

100 Polys = No Lag
