I don't suspect or accuse Kenko and his team of doing anything nefarious, but given that something as simple as a version launcher isn't open source, and that Rebuilt's source isn't public either is rather off-putting.

Given the history of this forum and its members, I don't think caution or even suspicion is an unreasonable reaction to any of this.
This is exactly my concern. I've almost been burnt twice with malicious software from here. The first was your run-of-the-mill backdoor blockland addon with an eval call hidden deep within. The second one was a program with actual professional RAT software nested inside. I think there was a malicious blockland web browser script floating around that used greasemonkey or something too but can't recall any posts about it.

The report I posted earlier is likely a bunch of false positives and I think Rebuilt is safe, after all, that's a lot of work to bait people into installing malware.

If you don't like BLR and don't want to play it, just say so, it's fine if you feel that way, but you don't have to go through this whole song and dance to show it

Also, i think those virus reports are false positives to do with the use of DLL injections people have been using with Blockland to bypass certain limitations with the engine

Yeah I'm being harsh because I think maps were jank and I'll admit I'm a bit jaded after someone from this forum tried to install a rat on my pc when I was a child a decade ago.
Obviously you think it's great and you trust the author but I don't. Besides it doesn't hurt to point out the risks especially with hacked/modded clients.
Just ignore my posts and continue in bliss

Hello!

I came across this blog post in my news feed from GarageGames, GG.. The post is from 2017. Blockland uses a GG game engine so perhaps someone could shed some light on what's happening? I understand that an engine codebase was open sourced and so I'm asssuming that's made GG redundant but I could be wrong.

I was going to ask on the GG forums but it's barely active.

Have the owners of this forum thought about migrating to something less diseased?

With less than a month to go, how will Badspot implement GDPR compliance? Will the forums be limited to non-EU countries?

Countdown until GDPR

"However, rumours started circulating about its other detrimental effects. Verity Bowman, a University of Leicester fourth year, said: “My mum never let me drink it because it was in the news that a girl turned yellow. That’s true, right?”

There was a particularly unsavoury rumour, as Verity mentions, that a girl turned yellow. The sad reality is that it actually happened.

In 1999, a four-year-old girl in Rhyl, Wales, turned a yellow-orangey colour after overdosing on the Beta-carotene in the drink. To be fair, she was drinking 1.5 litres of the stuff a day but this was the straw that broke Sunny Delight’s back." - https://thetab.com/uk/2016/06/10/whatever-happened-sunny-delight-1810
