The idea of a government was created when the first tribe of humanity was created. Hence the monarchy.
Bush was a bad president, I agree. But he did what was popular at the time, in 2001, after 9/11, patriotism was spreading throughout the land, and war was embraced by most of the people.

I am sorry about long replies, but that's what happens when I am the only one defending the Democratic Republic, created 200 years ago.I cannot agree more, we have handled the money poorly. Guess what, we had a say in most of the projects, it wasn't like Bush, or Clinton just out of the blue wanted to build a dam somewhere. It was an elected congress member who probably was showed the problem then he wanted to fix it with his elected power.

The government funds projects, guess why they do that? To help the United States of America grow, and prosper. You wouldn't be living in a loving free country if that deficit wasn't created. We had to use money to fund for war efforts, to create more power plants, to maintain this free land on Earth.Why do you insist I am in your ass. Hey, don't blame the public for the debt. The government is in over $9 trillion. The public is in a debt because the government forgeted up the economy and screwed everyone out of a job.
You moron, the employment of the government is for maintenance of national utilities, civic duties, etc. They still vote, even the main government votes. What I mean is the fact the U.S. government isn't controlling how you live. Or in a monarchist standpoint, they don't have a complete, indefinite control.

President Obama reads from a script, the he usually will edit or even write himself, (If it's important), because the human mind can't usually memorize a 30 minute long speech in the few hours between when he receives it and when he actually speaks it.
Secondly, the government want's money, wanna know why? Because our country's deficit, not the government's deficit, the country's deficit is over 3 trillion dollars.
Now if you want to argue that the reason we have such a huge deficit is the government's fault, just think about how strong we would be internationally without all those projects that the money was used for. So, to sum it all up, the government is not money hungry, and Obama reads from scripts because the human mind can't remember large amounts of information in short lengths of time.

The United States is ruled by law, and the majority vote. The government has a very small percentage of control, but just enough to not promote anarchy.

Just because their audience thinks they're right doesn't mean they're right. They're full of stuff regardless.
And for those saying communism works well, be aware it tends to lead to dictatorships as well as the fact that it stifles competition and therefore originality.
My personal view is that certain industries should be partially socialized, some totally socialized, and most none at all. That being said, there must be strong government regulation everywhere.
