The leader asks what the king's wager is.
It is simple. If the chief wins, Galaumia stays a republic. If the conservatives win, Galaumia becomes a feudal monarchy.

227
Three large political parties in Galaumia appear.  The first is a very conservative group led by most of the nobility, and commoners who nearly blindly support them; they desire a monarchy with a feudal system.  The second group is an extremely liberal group of the small middle class and most of the commoners who wish for the tearing down of the nobility system, saying it compromises the republic; they additionally call for the right to elect representatives for the region instead of answering to nobility, and relying on them, even though they independently have their own free will.  The third is a smaller group located primarily in the west, that wish to swear loyalty to the Iraji Empire; observing that the current republic is flawed, and looking to the alternative of being ruled by liberators of Galaumia.  Other smaller political parties show interest in a variety of political systems, but the most prevalent of the minor parties is a pro-Avalonia group, however, most in this group either end up moving to Avalonia, or are concerned with the difference between Avalonia and Galaumia, seeing that this sentiment is not practical.
The leader of the conservatives is welcome to face Phorinxae II in the method of Ieantar. A duel. They shall know that this Republic is in the constitution now, and to attempt to tear it down is an attack on the values of the current leader and the free people of Galaumia. There will be a fight to keep this Republic in power. It will not go down without a fight. Long live Galaumia.

A diplomat is sent north to Ru'sh Naal, to discuss a possible alliance.

To add onto why a Republic would work in Galaumia:
A functioning democracy is occuring a few hundred miles north of Galaumia, in Ru'sh Naal. Their texts have reached Galaumians, who have gained knowledge of democracy from them.

It's been 10 years anyways, or close to it. The Republic will now be taking effect. Here is our constitution.

Constitution of Galaumia
Charter of Kantaenum and Iruanea
All truths evident in this constitution will always be held to a legal standard, and shall never be taken away. Any attempts to amend this constitution must pass with at least 25 votes in the Assembly.

I. All members of Assembly will be led by a blood heir of the current Chieftain in discussion. This blood heir will take full power of the state during the event of war or disaster.
II. Noble families will be allowed to rule their tribes and clans. While federal laws will still be forced onto these people, further laws can be added by the Nobility.
III. Any that are unhappy with their tribes or clans rules may freely move to any major city or capital in Galaumia, where the only law is a federal one.
IV. Any free member of the public may vote on Assembly members.
V. All previous laws of Galaumia excluding laws regarding Chieftainship shall transfer to this Constitution.
VI. Any amendments to be ADDED must have at least 15 votes in the Assembly.
VII. A maximum of 50 Assembly members will be voted in at a time.
VIII. An Assembly members term will last 2 years, with no restrictions on how many times he is voted back in.

This constitution will always bind Galaumians together, no matter their difference in race, creed, religion or other restrictions.

Ahijaman warned you of consequences and you did not listen.  (I was using Ahijaman to allude to a stable form of government, used historical examples and lots of logic and brown townysisbased on your posts but you saw it differently, and frankly your republic seems ahead of its time for Galaumia, and unfit for them at this time.  Earth history, which I assume that a lot of us are trying to mimic in one way or another, does not speak in favor of your choice.)
Except people wouldn't speak out when this is the first form of political freedom they get. If anything, they would speak out against past regimes, or current monarchies. Not moan and whine because nobility still controls tribes. We're miles ahead of monarchies in terms of freedom, our people would not be mad. The nobility is still given enough power that they are happy. Just because I didn't accept Ahijaman's proposal for a monarchy doesn't mean you can give me these problems that wouldn't happen.

Also, alliance with Avalonia proposed to Avalonia.

233
You do what you want.  You'll have to find a way to please as many people as you can.

And no, they are subjected for ten years to still be under the nobility without any representation.  To this result, many cry for relresentation right away or to do away with the system of nobility.
These 10 years are a transitional one, so we can iron out the best constitution for our republic without having it cripple us as a nation.

Strange how no monarchy has had it's people call for representation? Surely this couldn't be a concentrated assault on me for choosing an unpopular republic, heavens no.

234
They're discontented at both.  At the nobility because they still have power, and at the state for not providing a true republic.  Consensus at 60%.
The nobility only has power among their family, family being tribe and clans. The people still have more power then any state they have ever seen. They can elect a person who they agree with, and hope laws they like are placed in. Any more is too much to ask of a state. This is unprecedented power to the people. Attempt to enjoy it instead of always finding faults. A question is asked to the people. Would you rather we follow Irajinads lead and have a pure, absolute ruler with no laws from a people-elected assembly?

235
This statement arises as more acceptable to the nobles, but the people are discontented.
If the people are dissatisfied with their tribes rules, they are free to leave their tribe and follow strictly state law in the capital.

236
The common people seem somewhat pleased with this.  Some of the nobility that were once loyal to Phoranixae I angrily protest this development.  Two noble families denounce the provisional government and the republic, and refuse to swear loyalty.  Many others share the same sentiment.
The noble families will keep their wealth, and share the same amount of power they had under Phoranixae I, which was under their own tribe/clan. But nationwide laws and ideas will be decided upon in the Assembly. Any more denoucement done to either provisional government or republic, will not be met with such a detailed explaination as this. It will be met with action.

237
After negotiations with Ahijaman IV, he and Phoranixae II came to the conclusion of what is best for Galaumia. I/O troops will leave Galaumia, and a Provisional government will take over for 10 years. At the conclusion of these 10 years, a new constitution will take place. Galaumia will transition into a Republic, transferring power to the people. Phoranixae and his subsequent heirs will lead Assembly discussion and, in times of crCIA, take over as acting leader.

Fine, new version because you do make some sense:
Dysentery spreads throughout Galaumia's camp; a large portion of Galaumia's soldiers near the capitol die and many more are left extremely weakened.  News of this filters into the city and the negotiations.
Thank you.

After noticing bouts of Dysentery in the troops, men are ordered to build their bathrooms further from the camps. They are also ordered not to use any sources of water for the troops as bathrooms.

Galaumia:  The Galaumian army and the combined armies of Irajinad and Osamar experience a tense standoff, and from somewhere within the ranks of Osamar, an arrow is let loose which hits an officer of Irajinad.  Thinking it Galaumian treachery, both armies attack the Galaumians and each other.  Irajinad and Osamar are by far the worse for the battle, but several thousand Galaumian soldiers and horses lie dead as well before the armies withdraw from each other and the whole thing is sorted outs.  (MIL:  20%)
Both sides are in camp, Irajinad and Osamar are both inside the city and therefore would not shoot eachother, my heir is inside the city meaning they are not standing off, Negotiations are going on right now, neither side would have weapons at the ready, and even if, by the slightest chance, an Osamarian archer on the wall SPECIFICALLY turned around and fired inside the city at his own troops, someone would realize that ALL Galaumian troops are either not near the capital or in camp with no weapons at the ready and everyone standing down. Normally I don't bitch about RE's, but I'm sorry this would just not happen, especially since neither side is near fighting.
