I don't know. I understand it's a stuffload of work to update, but the way this game out seems like an starfish move. 1.1 isn't even a huge leap code wise from 1.0, most of the snapshots were compatible with 1.0. Not sure how much work he'd need to do.
1.1 doesn't add much content, so they aren't worried about updating that much. I'd much rather have them fix bugs.
