Games / Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction-should I get it?

Recently I was looking for an ADS style FPS for os x, and I saw that some of the Tom Clancy game.
After that, I searched "Tom Clancy multiplayer" and found Spliter Cell Conviction.
It looks interesting enough, but what is your recommendation?

Off Topic / I'm going to Martha's vineyard for six days

I am going to go to Martha's vineyard as part of the Boy Scouts, there is a really good friend of mine that is part of it also, so its good that I'll be able to hang out with him. For those of you who don't know what Martha's vineyard is, its a vacation spot in Connecticut where movie stars and even the president go to get away from everything else.
We'll be going to private spot that no one but us will be able to get to.

tl;dr: I'm going on another trip

Off Topic / I'm leaving for three weeks to go to camp and Maine

Tomarrow I'll be going to go to camp, I'll leave around 2pm and get there at about 3pm for check in, I'll be in the same cabin as one of my good friends and another friend will be in the same area as me. It'll be for two weeks and there is a lot to do so I'm excited. After camp ends, I won't go directly home. My parents will pick me up and drive to Maine from there, I'll be there for one week. I'll be back home on the 23rd to get a good sleep in my bed. c:

Games / Left 4 Dead 2 works for me now! :D

The error was that it was trying to validate the catch files and "The Steam servers where to busy", but that wasn't true. I had deleted the game files (in the Library section) to see if I coud reinstall it, but the same error kept going on.
It would sometimes appear in the downloads section of my library, but I couldn't get the download to start.

Today, I went into my steamapps folder to see if there where any files I could delete, just in case that fixed it. As it turns out I had some corrupt .ncf files that didn't get deleted, so I just deleted them myself. Then right before my eyes, I no longer had any problems with the download in Steam.
This is pretty exciting for me because it had broken in March. It had been one of my favorite games, so I instead started to play Left 4 Dead, which got boring.

tl;dr: Jacksaunt is happy because L4D2 works for him.

Off Topic / School is out!

Today was the last day school, it was a half day.
We did nothing but watch the Incredibles and eat a ton of brownies and such. After school me and about ten other friends walked to the local ice cream place to get some stuff to eat.
This past week was the easiest and most fun week of school that I've even been to.
It is awesome that school is finally out c:

Off Topic / Massive thunderstorms in Vermont

Lately, there has been a lot of rain in Vermont, but today is a bit different.
At the moment, it is pouring rain, and thundering. Not to mention there is a tornado warning. There hasn't been a storm like this for about four years, and the last tornado was 60 years ago.
This will probably be the last post for a bit, my internet will surely go down very soon.

I tried to make a sound for Blockland, but it doesn't show up in the add-ons selection. It may be some error with the description.txt or something else.

Off Topic / L4D2 issue: Can't redownload

I recently uninstalled l4d2 because it was having an issue. Now, as i try to redownload it, it won't work.
Is there any way to get the download to start other then the resume button? Note that downloading works for other games but not L4D2.

Off Topic / Steam/Left 4 Dead 2 error

While trying to launch Left 4 Dead 2, Steam wants to validate the files. This isn't bad because it happens with some games.

When the "Validating Steam files" box is at 0%, it jumps to 100% and then i get an error box.
It has been this way for a few days and certainly isn't stopping. Can anyone help me on this?

Help / How would I make a time limit with event?

I want to make a time limit in which a helicopter comes five minutes after you press a certain button.
I tried using a fireRelayDown type of thing.
Attached below is something that didn't work, a system of firerelaydowns. Note that i am not familier with relays other then just firerelay.
If someone could tell me what events i need to put, that would be great.

I have been playing Blockland for about a year now, holy stuff. I registered on March 10, 2010, and its March 12 of 2011.
Its good that I haven't had any serious drama.
