Hello and welcome to the BLF Hunger Games Simulator thread! This is a thread for the Hunger Games Simulator, a simulator which, well, simulates a Hunger Games match amongst a bunch of fictional characters. It's also really customizable, allowing for a multitude of different themes and events. The simulator is 100% RNG based, which can lead to either moments of triumph or absolute stupidity.

• The tribute nobody likes winning

FAQ

How do I get a tribute/nominee into one of these games?
Simple, you just post a picture of your nominee along with a name. That's it. It can be anything from a video game character to a stock photo with some funny name. The possibilities are endless!

How many nominees can be in a match?
It honestly depends on how many people participate. The default is 24 (like the books/movie), but it can be extended up to 36 or 48 depending on either host preference or if a lot of people decide to submit characters.

How many tributes can I submit?
I'd like to keep it at 2, but this is a personal preference that can change depending on the host. If nominations are taking too long it's usually a good idea to allow people to submit 1 extra nominee for efficiency's sake.

What's a host and how do I become one?
A host is the person hosting the current simulator. They post the bloodbath, all the days, the nights, the arenas, the feasts, all of the juicy action, and occasionally some witty banter. To become a host, simply ask if you can host a game after the current one is finished. A good sense of humor, a tolerance for anything, and a good screencapping plugin is required to be a host.

How does this simulator even work?
The simulator everybody uses is hosted on Brainsteele. It's entirely 100% RNG, so while a nominee may end up blind and crippled, they can still somehow go berserk and murder 4 other people.

Spooky Mansions? The Old West? This isn't the Hunger Games!
Well actually, it is. Brainsteele's HG simulator is, as mentioned above, highly customizable. There are already plenty of arena presets out there from Ancient China, to High School, to Christmas! Themes are also a personal host preference, and if they'd rather uses their heavily-modified default arena with a stuffton of rape events, then that's perfectly fine.

I just found one of the old threads and most of the hosts post updates really slowly! Why?
We post slowly because it gives time for anybody who cares to get engrossed in the action or catch up on anything they might've missed. Also because we're not an image-board where threads move by so quickly you can get deleted before you even complete the roster. It also fits into the games themselves to update it once a day and once a night.

Go to 8chan's /hgs/ board. I usually host there late in the day. 4 - 9 pm EST.

What's the Grand Slam?
Basically, every 8 games I host a match where the top 3 from the last 8 games played all compete in a death match to see who will come out as the best of the best. Can't put it any simpler than that.

So a long time ago (6 months), a user by the name of "Leidoffon" started an RPG Maker game based on suggestions from the Blockland Forums (This thing).

Needless to say, Leidoffon went on Hiatus and now the topic is too old. So on that note:

How did you get into the jungle?

What could you craft/find/scavenge for in the jungle?

What would you do in the jungle when you weren't trying to survive?

What kind of a jungle is it? Natural? Magical?

What kind of locations/landmarks would you run into in such a jungle?

How are the locals? Are they friendly or hostile? How would you interact with them?

What's the wildlife like? How would you react to the wildlife?

Deforestation is a thing. Are there operations like that in this jungle? How do you deal with them?

I know this seems kind of strange, but I need ideas for something I'm working on.
