This doesn't mean LucasArts is gone. This just means that instead of them spending their money to make their own LucasArts stuff, they're going to hold the license for it that way if any other developer/publisher wants to make something, they can buy the license from Disney.
I only had to read this “from internal development to a licensing model” to understand exactly what they did.
So what you're saying is that any game company could just go "Hey, I wanna make a Star Wars game or something" and Disney can decide whether to let them make it or not?

One time, I had a dream where I was crushed by a meteorite. Blood and gore everywhere. Keep in mind, I was about 7 when I had this dream. I got it from watching some Discovery channel thing on Meteors and stuff or something like that.
