Off Topic / The Gaming Dictionary (Sorry trolls! No food left 4 u!)

     Ok, pretty basic story here: I was dreaming off in Math class when I felt like making an online dictionary of all the terms that gamers use. I've seen WAYYYY too many people go "What does 1337 stand for?" or "Why are you calling me a n00b? What's that mean?". It annoys me, A LOT, which is why I thought this up.

     So, my plan is just to create a simple layout for a dictionary that "n00bs" can use to figure out what the hell everyone out there is saying. Heck, I don't know too much which is why I'm ALSO asking for you, people of Blockland, to contribute and help this thing along. If you want to help, use this format below for instructions:

Word: n00b
Definition: 1. A player who is new to the game or has no clue how to play. 2. A player who constantly annoys, frustrates, or put down other players.
Word Type: noun
Sentence: 1. That n00b cost us the game because he didn't know how to detonate the bomb. 2. Some n00b was camping up in a tower with a sniper rifle.

   Once you've filled that out, I'll add it to the dictionary. Simple, right? Also, if you find any errors with a current definition, please PM me and I'll look up some sources/facts. And last of all, Don't call this a Wiki! :3 I think that covers it. And if you'll look below, you'll find the definitions:

Definition: 1. Meaning epic, cool, awesome, or anything else that is ego boosting. ( :3 )

   Hey everybody! Name's EvDowg (But you should know that already!). Today, I managed to find the time to upload some pictures of an impromptu project for my clan, The New California Republic. This is a simple outpost that was build on one of my friend's server a few days back to help his buddies control the city in his RP mini.
   Moving along, I've put together some quick-pics from the build itself that should keep your stomachs full as we progress on the big enchilada: the headquarters compound. Since that isn't coming out for a long while, enjoy this post, and savor every sweet moment:

This is just a general picture of the exterior. More pictures to follow though!

Outside, we find a sniper with the 1st Recon Sniper battalion named 'Hawk'.

Before heading to his post, Hawk takes us around the inner wall hallways.

On our way around the base, we spot Ranger Heinz

drilling some Troopers who had the guts to fool around on duty.

Now Hawk returns to his post atop one of the 3 sniper towers.

It seems the Engineer they call Fantastic wants to show us the motor pool just over the wall.

While Fantastic goes off to fix the gate controls, we check out the NCR's sweet rides.

As we exit the motor pool, we spot Veteran Ranger Conan exit the base for a recon mission.

Sorry kids! But our tour has come to a halt. We'll bring more NCR projects in the future to come though!

Help / Can't host a server anymore?

     Hi there. I've had this problem for awhile now but I'm kind of hoping to fix it. I used to be able to host a server without port forwarding because of one of the new BL updates (Version 16 was it?). I was able to continue this for 3 months or so but now I can't host anymore. Other players IRC me and tell me that it's broken when it's worked before.
     Now, I don't want to port forward because I don't trust the mechanics to it (Seems like it's supposed to let people hack me). So does anybody know how I can host like I used to be able to again? Help would be MAJORLY AWESOME for me.

12/12/11 - See Pg. 28. The clan needs some changing up.

History
A long time ago, I was a clan-leader-in-training with my first clan, the ONI (I was a Halo nerd at the time). After that crappy naval clan died out, I tried again with the USAR (Now a COD nerd). After yet another failure, the NCR came out (Ok, final decision: Fallout nerd). Presently, this new clan with the help of many generous supporters and advisors, I am restarting for the fourth, and hopefully, last time. Also, check out this timeline I put together. :3

03/13/10 - My first clan, ONI, is born.
05/02/10 - ONI was rebooted into the USAR.
04/13/11 - USAR got resurrected into the NCR.
12/18/11 - EvDowg begins working on the fourth, and hopefully final installment, of the new hit web series: "stuff Clans Return".
 
Structure
Below you will find out a bit about the two groups of the <clan name pending>.

NOTICE: You only need the clan tags on official clan servers.

Builders
If you like to build, apply as a builder. They are in charge of constructing most builds that you'll see on our servers. There's not much else to being a builder except that you'll get a few advantages on the server such as the ability to load a build. And to join, I'll need to see a build on a baseplate that consists of 500 bricks or more (Some exceptions can be made). And please, NO SPAM!

Fighters
If you aren't a good builder, or simply don't use your skills to often, your second option is to become a fighter. With this, you can deathmatch and role-play 24/7. Also, a sample of what your training might become here (NOTE: This was the training video from the NCR so pretend the uniforms and loadoutsare non-existent!).

Skill Points (SP)
A new update created by an old friend of mine (Planr), Skill Points is a new way to advance in rank and keep track of an individual's "skill". As a fighter, you can earn SP through a few ways via mini-games:

-Killing a player (DM) = 1SP
-Completing an objective (CTF, KotH, etc) = 3SP
-Using teamwork and/or strategy = 3SP
-Showing leadership skills = 5SP
-Givingg Rotten Eggs coffee = -100SP

Between certain intervals, you will advance through the ranks of the clan (see below).

The Best RP Awards

Hello there! Ev Dowg here with some news. I have just recently decided to make a thread series all about the best kinds of role plays that pollute our server lists. (Pollute in a good way!)

So here's the deal: Each day at the starting of each month I will edit this thread with a new poll each month for role plays that we have tried and liked. Such will include: Jail RPs, School RPs, Family RPs, and many more!

Additionally, if you didn't see a role play that you wanted on the list, ask me in the comments section to see if it will be accepted into the polls for the next month. Also, only ask for role play types in general! If you say something like “Where’s the Yuki’s Hardcore City RP option!?”, then just vote for City RP. I hate people who want all this specified.

Lastly, if you want to discuss any role plays you've been to recently, comment with a short or long description and pictures if you'd like.

Also, DO NOT flame role plays in general because:

All RPs in that list have a lot of potential, but are just poorly executed by terrible hosts.

Gallery / OMGF App: The Assassin

This is just a small application for the film making clan known as OMG Films (OMGF). While I'm already an actor I thought as if I could pass for something higher up than that. So I took the idea of one of their movies in the making and made a short and sweet version of it. (The original movie was supposed to be 80 minutes long! :O) So scroll down and gander at my awesome script w/ pics.[/color]

STORY

A higly trained assassin is sent in to kill a druglord designated as TANGO: 113. But when he gets there, well, you'll just have to read this topic.

Lt. Dowg: This looks like the place in the briefing. But how do I get in?


Lt. Dowg: Hmm. Is that a security system mechanism? *Silenced SMG cough*


Lt. Dowg: Ok. That works...


Lt. Dowg: Nobody here. I wonder where all the guards are.


Lt. Dowg: Hmm. The lights are on...


Lt. Dowg: I should be careful. *Turns on COM device*
Cpt. Benjamin: What is it soldier.
Lt. Dowg: There's no security at the gate and the lights are on in the house. The door is unlocked as well for that matter. No sign of any hostiles though. Permission to enter the building?
Cpt. Benjamin: Granted. Quietly though. It could be a trap.
Lt. Dowg: Yessir!


Lt. Dowg Living room is clear.


Lt. Dowg: So is the kitchen.


Lt. Dowg: Same for this closet. Man this place is empty.



*COM start-up*
Cpt. Benjamin: You find anything?
Lt. Dowg: No sir. The first floor is empty. And I just checked the second. Ditto for that.
Cpt. Benjamin: I read you. Continue. I'll stay online.

Lt. Dowg: Heading for the upstairs... And, there's nothing.


Lt. Dowg: The guest room is empty. And this bunk room. Annnd, the target's room. And man what's up with the weapons. *sigh*
Cpt. Benjamin: Lieutenant! We just got word. Our intel may be off. We're sending a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot and his crew to extract and move you to another safehouse, out.

This is a school RP build I've been hosting a lot of times. It took me maybe 2 weeks to make and I never got around to add lockers and more detail.
I still can't believe that Jirue came and liked it. He's my role model and I swear I almost burst into tears of joy right after he left to conceal my true emotions. ;3
Well here we go I guess:

The Front Yard: "This is where we cool kids hang out before class." -Bully


The Main Hallway: There would've been lockers and an office here.


The Gym: "We do dodgeball and squirt gun fights here." -Football Jock


Computer Class: This is where the students learn all about our world of blocks.


The Cafetorium: The students eat their lunches in this section of the building.


The Back Hallway: Another unfinished area...


Math Class: "Uuuuhhgghh... *snore*" -Class clown


The Bathrooms: "I found a pipe in there. Can I hit Mrs. Holly with it?" -New Student


Sorry, I rushed the sinks in a hurry to complete this build...

Eventing Class: "I got suspended for spamming fire, lasers, and smoke." -*Expelled Student*


Building Class: We have our students make small builds like cakes and toys here.


The Teachers Lounge: The teachers spawn here with tool terminals and a teleporter to the front yard. Also with cozy chairs and... wine?
