it's an idiomatic expression.  we do live in the United States, but we have taken the name America.  you refer to the continent as "North America," not "America" or "the Americas."

What better for Templars to be than slavers?

The thing that confuses me the most is that the Templars are considered the predecessors to the Freemasons.  The Freemason's members include a whole bunch of colonial revolutionaries, such as Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and more.  I don't understand how that fits into the AC Universe tbh, but I think Ubi will have to rewrite a bit of history for the story to work.

Ubi also released the box art, and it confirms the American Revolution setting.

My only concern is about the cities in America at the time.  There were few tall buildings, and the only important cities were New Netherlands (NYC) and Philadelphia.

I completely agree with Rykuta.  In addition, this is in no way related to the actual game itself, it's the community that is letting Blockland go downhill.

While thinking back to great servers I've been on, my mind immediately went to Ace's floating islands exploration rpg.  I loved that to death.
