They say that the deeper breathing can actually improve lung function, but I don't really believe it outweighs the smoke damage.

A friend of mine told me to try a breathing exercise to improve lung function; 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds of holding, 4 seconds exhale, 4 seconds of holding, repeat.  It is really calming and forces you to use more of your lungs than you normally would.

The children's defense mechanism is the fact that we think kids are cute.  There are few people who would be willing to hurt a baby.  I'm pretty sure that hormones are secreted which make us want to care for infantile humans.

They dropped it to $200 because the kindle fire is better and $200. On that note get a kindle fire, I got it for my mom early for Christmas because she really wanted it and didn't want to wait and it is lightning fast and it has TONS of really fun apps and games.

The Nook has 1GB of RAM, compared to the 512MB in the Fire, and it has 2 hours longer battery life.  Though you are sacrificing screen space.
