I live one life.
I feel like my biggest character flaw is that I basically can't say something bad about someone, so I make up a lie to cover how I really feel.
This girl wanted to go out with me, and I don't find her neither attractive nor interesting, so I lied and said she looks like my cousin, so I wouldn't go out with her.
Clearly a huge and stupid mistake, and a very bad lie. :'C
I just should have said, "No."

Advice for you and everyone else:
Man up, personality can Annoying Orange physical makeup, and physical makeup is a stumbling block, not a wall. Make yourself look presentable, not "unique". Uniqueness comes from your personality, not pants. Your chances with women aren't as slim as you may think. Though you probably will never do the hottest girl in your school.
Also avoid cheerleaders. Learned my lesson.
Also:
I say go for it. All she can do is say no. And even if it isn't a "real" girlfriend, she can be a good friend and you might get some. lol
