I've never been to a bronycon before, or any sort of con. While I've heard that you get to see some famous people, is there any actual reason to go other than to meet some brony artists/musicians?

Do stuff with friends.

this mainly. but if y'all met up with me, I could introduce you to lots of awesome people like omnipony and derpygrooves.

What is there to do there?

attend panels/events, browse/buy fan merchandise, meet new people, and overall just have a stuffload of fun.

i wonder if that will make it a more expensive (overall) trip

the price of admission will probably be a bit more than the previous $65 but hopefully not too much more

and of course it'll cost more to stay another night in a hotel

but I don't think the con being 3 days next year will increase airfare
