This is my first ever blockland machinima and I hope you all enjoy.

Gallery / The S.S. Lapsus
« on: January 15, 2012, 04:16:57 AM »
Bloodwolf47 Presents:
The S.S.Lapsus
It’s called Lapsus because that’s Latin for “glide”. The more you know...
The Lapsus is a state-of-the-art HPSTV, or Heavy Passenger Space Transportation Vehicle. Although it is very large, the easiest way to organize it is listing its seven individual floors. They are all alphabetically named, with the lowest level being E, and the highest level being A (excluding Level X, which is the Observatory.). I will start with Level E.

Level E-Hangar/Ventilation System
Level E is the level that passengers first arrive on. They land in the Hangar, an incredibly basic small-aircraft supportive airtight “vault”, if I may.

You then progress to the Security Check, a system that only allows humans and other allied races into the ship proper. The system can also terminate any passengers in the room.

After you pass the Security Check (hopefully you did), you can then enter the elevator system. This system will allow you to access all seven floors of the Lapsus, but be warned: there are restricted zones in the ship only meant for certain personnel.

Entering such zones as a passenger will result in confinement in the Containment room if spotted by any ship personnel.

Level D-Living Quarters/Help Office/Captain’s Quarters

Level D is the largest of all the levels on the Lapsus. This is because the majority (65%) of this level are the 24 rooms meant for passengers.

Each room includes a Television, a Bed, two couches, a table from bringing food from the cafeteria to your room, a closet for wardrobes and other storage, a table with a light, and a small glass coffee table. There is a rumor on the ship that room 222 is “haunted” and gives the passenger “horrible black luck” for the entirety of their stay. Xteika Inc. completely dismisses all claims.

However, the first room you will encounter upon coming out of the Elevator is the Recreational Facility. This room is meant for , well, recreational purposes. The multiple doors can be quite confusing, so one of the pictures will explain.

The bridge you will notice overhead connects the Elevator on Level C to the cafeteria. We will get to that later.

Let’s start with the Help Office. This is one of the most important rooms, as it is where you get your room keys, allowing you to be assigned a room. You can also go to the help office for any help needed. The white door takes personnel with a white keycard to the tunnels leading to the help desk, the coffee room and the restrooms.

The next room we will be covering is the Captain’s Quarters. Although we are confined allowing no pictures of this area, we can inform you that the Captain’s Quarters contains a kitchen, living room and room for a VIP Guest, along with bathrooms for each.

The next room you will encounter on your way to the living quarters is the lobby. The lobby has a restricted area that connects to the ventilation system. It is rumored that the Lapsus has a major security fault because the ventilation system connects all the floors, including some restricted zones that could be easily accessed just by crawling through certain tunnels. Xteika Inc. completely dismisses all claims.

The lobby has a built-in state of the art aquarium featuring rare fish specimen harvested from the planet Aeron, along with a strange gold looking fish taken from the planet Earth. Its name is unknown.

Level C-Escape Pods/Cafeteria/Engine Room/Library
Level C is, by far, the most diverse floor. Most of the time, C will be used for access to the Cafeteria, but the Library is also a great spot for peace and relaxation.

Escape Pods
There are a total of 12 escape pods, each holding two people. These pods are always automatically locked to the ship, as they can only be released by the Captain’s orders.

Cafeteria
One of the largest rooms in the ship, the Cafeteria has a state of the art Ceiling Shield-O-Matic 3000 above it, allowing for a view to the outside layers of the ship. The Cafeteria is totally protected by a DEEFPS(Dome Electric Energy Field Projection System) and also is your place for, of course, gourmet food. Our current menu includes, but is not limited to:
Number 1: Space HotDogs
Number 2:Quantum Fillet of Salmon with a Baby Spinach salad and Raspberry Vinaigrette
Number 3:Roasted Red Potatoes with a Lemon Garnish and Venison
Number 4:Pork Medallions with Seasoned Goat cheese and Dark Beer Gravy
Number 5:Premier™ Lasagna with Rosemary seasonings and pork cracklings, along with a side of lemon zested(optional) crisp roasted Cherry Tomatoes
Number 6:Space Gelato with a vanilla cone wafer and white chocolate shreddings, along with your choice of Maple Chocolate or Dark Chocolate syrup

Engine Room
This room is currently a Work In Progress, but will be a restricted zone only available to engineers. It will also have a lift going down to Containment.

Library
Currently 50% done. Bookshelves have been completed, and we are now working on the walls and floor, along with a secret entrance leading to Containment.
All other floors are a WIP currently, as of 1/15/2012.

Current Status:
Level E-75% (Ventilation System WIP)
Level D-85% (Captain’s Quarters WIP)
Level C-56% (Engine Room & Library WIP)
Level B-0%
Level A-0%
Level X(Observatory)-0%
Light Passenger Ship Aeros-0%
OVERALL: 30.857% FINISHED(Actually mathematically calculated)
Please note that all unfinished levels have already been completely drawn and planned out on 7 sheets of graph paper. They just need to be built.

PLEASE NOTE:This ship is still around 30% done, so it looks very ugly and blocky right now. The ship is meant to only be viewed from the inside, as it is going to be an RP. I am going to put MUCH more detail into every room and make them look as realistic as possible. Right now I'm only focusing on building the actual rooms.

Modification Help / My custom print not working
« on: April 09, 2011, 04:45:17 PM »
Okay, I was trying to make a map of my mall, so I took a screenshot from above the whole load. Then I used GIMP to separate that screenshot into six 512x512 .png images for the actual prints. Then I used those images to make six 64x64 png images for the icons. I made a .zip file named Print_1x1_Mall and, inside it, I put two folders. Here are the folders and their contents:

Inside the Print_1x1_Mall .zip file:

Inside the "prints" folder:

Inside the "icons" folder:

Please explain to me what I did wrong. I even put it in the virtualstore>programs>blockland>addons folder and it still won't show up in my list of add-ons in the "enable add-ons" menu when I click start server. Is there anything I missed? Please respond.

Modification Help / Sound Effects HELP
« on: July 26, 2010, 10:55:45 PM »
Ok, I'm going to sound like a complete noob here, but...

I have a sound uploaded to mediafire named medal_get that i am trying to put in blockland. Basically, I'm gonna make a hyplerlink to the webpage that has the dowload on it. I used audacity, and the sound is a .wav file. How do i get it to work for blockland?

Something about a server.cs folder and another .zip folder with the sounds in it? I'm not sure. I really need help on this...

Music / Zelda "Item Get" Sound Effect
« on: July 26, 2010, 10:02:58 PM »
http://www.mediafire.com/?a9z72fam7e95cfi

The sound effect is basically the sound that plays when you get a medal in Ocarina of Time.
Perfect for RPG builds when the blockhead finds treasure or something, could also be used
for unlimited mining.

Please comment, as I actually LOOK at your comments and will try to improve this as best as I can.

FAQ:

Q:How do I save sounds? This isn't a pack OMFG HURR WTF how do I save this?
A:Very simple. Go to Blockland/AddOns, then make a new folder named "Sounds_Zelda". Go into that folder and then save this file. It should work, if not, your computer is weird or I'm not doing something right here.

Q:It still doesn't work! No matter how many times I re-downloaded it, nothing showed up in my sounds list! What do I do???
A:Buddy, this sound was TESTED, and if it's not working for you, then I'm sorry but something's wrong with your computer.

Hope you all enjoy.
Thanks.

Music / New Zelda Sound Effects
« on: July 26, 2010, 09:57:07 PM »
I have a couple(quite a few, actually) sound effects from Ocarina of Time like "Item Get"
or "Medal Get" for when a blockhead gets an item in your RPG build. Do you think that's
a good idea?

What's your fav add-on map? You know, a custom map made by someone(I'm sure you all know that). What's the best one you've seen?

P.S. Mine is the Left 4 Dead one. Don't ask me to give you the link yet.
