Off Topic / Sprites Request

Well I'm working on a platform shooter and I already coded a majority of the game. What's really holding me back is my crappy drawing skills. I was able to make some decent player and weapon sprites but I'm still lacking the resources I need.

If you do help me out you will be given full credit to the sprites and access to the early beta.

Here's what I need...

Zombie Sprite
- Walking animation (Only has to be facing one way. I can always mirror the image.)
     More Than 5 Frames And Less Than 15
- Attacking Animation (Once again, can only be facing one way. The attacking animation can be from anywhere from clawing to biting.)
     More Than 3 Frames And Less Than 10
- Death Animation (Multiple death animations would greatly be appreciated!)
     More Than 5 Frames And Less Than 15

Shell Casing
- Self explanatory. Doesn't need any frames. Just a solid sprite that I can rotate and scale.

GUI Bullet Casing
- GUI sprite that'll be rendered next to your ammo count.

City Sprites
- Go crazy. No real restrictions, I can always resize. The theme is a dark modern day city that's been ravaged by an infection.

Also no screenies yet because there's not much to really look at. I'll link one of my gun sprites though if you're curious.

Off Topic / Computer To Laptop Video Source - Help?

Well I spent about an hour or two looking for my software disc for my Dazzle HD Plus. I was going to stream my computer (Dead Rising 2) with my new laptop but I needed the software on my laptop. So after that long, frustrating search, I was on the verge of throwing my computer out of the window but I finally found it. I install the software then I go to plug in my capture card. I look behind my desktop computer and guess what? It doesn't have SVideo. I did all that stuff for nothing.

Is there any other way I can stream my desktop monitor with my laptop?

Also I know I can just stream with my desktop only but I only have a dual core processor so game performance is heavily impacted. My laptop on the other hand has a tri core.

Well my new laptop came in and overall, it's loving awesome. There are some turn offs but it's still a great laptop. Anyways I got this mostly for academic work but I will be using it as a gaming laptop as well. Anyways onward to my review.

Specs: 9/10
     CPU: 9/10
          Well it has a triple core processor which is quite strange and it only has 2.1ghz but it works great overall. It's easy for me to run games at a constant framerate even though it doesn't hit 100fps like my desktop. Programs also load faster than stuff. :D
     GPU: 9/10
          Only reason the vid card lost a point is because it's a Radeon. I'm prejudice against Radeons, sue me. :3 On a serious note though it does a great job of rendering games and I can pretty much run any game on max settings.
     Disc Drive: 8/10
          Reads pretty dam slow which I found out when I was trying to install a game to my hard drive from a DVD. It might have been the hard drive but I doubt it. Overall it's alright I guess. There were some other people complaining about the disc drive too.
     Hard Drive: 9/10
          Pretty dam big for a laptop. 320 gigs will keep me pretty happy but I'll have to be stingy when it comes to downloading and installing crap. The reason it lost a point was because it came with a bunch of preloaded, crappy trial software.
     Monitor: 9/10
          It's bigger than most laptops and it's a 16:9 ratio but it runs at a weird resolution. 1366x768. It might just be me because I've never seen a monitor that uses that resolution until now.
     Keyboard+Touchpad: 9/10
          It works great overall, it's really smooth and responds accurately. There's also a scroll bar on the touch pad which is AWESOME. It only lost a point since you can't use the touchpad and the keyboard at the same time which makes playing fps shooters impossible. Good thing I have a usb mouse. :D

Performance/Package Deal: 5/10
     OS: 10/10
          Well this is my first time using 64 bit on Win 7 and I guess that extra bit of ram it can read really does help keep a constant framerate on games. Compatibility doesn't seem to be an issue so far other than the fact that there's no installer for Blender for 64 bit.
     Heat: 3/10
          This burns to hell even when it's idling. It has an exhaust panel to the left of it and if you put your hand next to it, it'll actually burn your hand. That's pretty dam hot. I'm afraid this will explode one day.
     Pre-Loaded Software: 1/10
           Well they decided to install a stuff load of trail software on the hard drive in which I'll never use so I spent about 10 minutes uninstalling a LOT of programs.
     Stability: 1/10
           With the purchase of this laptop I got 60 days free subscription to a good anti-virus program which picked up a data miner that was already on the hard drive. Let me get this straight... Their own program that they provided picked up a loving virus on their own computer? Wow...

Conclusion: Like I said this laptop kicks major ass but what really pissed me off was that they had a data miner on the hard drive. I don't think it was intentional like they were gonna steal my passwords but still. They really need to check for that kind of stuff. Anyways it's on sale right now on tigerdirect.com so I would recommend buying one if you can. Just make sure to scan the bastard when you get it.

          Quality is great but it fades out on your last word so you have to kinda mumble after you finish a sentence. Weird eh?
     Battery: 9/10
          Lasts about 2.5 hours. Meh, it's better than my old laptop that only lasts 1 hour.
     Webcam: ?/10
           I'll probably never use it...

Well I've been waiting IMPATIENTLY for the past week for this little buggah to come in and it should in about an hour. My dad has it at work right now and he's backing up the files on it since they didn't give us a disc copy of Win 7. He's made like 6 freaking DVDs already and it's still copying over. Talk about hard drive rape with trial software. Still it's an awesome laptop and I can't wait! :D

Also no I'm not a rich, spoiled kid. I paid for some of it and I'm also using this for academic purposes since my school allows them. I also sacrificed any Christmas/Birthday presents I was intended to receive. So much for my quad core processor that I wanted for my Desktop but it's worth it.

Well I usually don't go to McDonalds for obvious reasons but I went there today since we were in a rush. We decided to hit the new one that was on the way to our destination and we saw... Well... It looked like a loving restaurant. They had nice looking booths and tables and they even had flower vases on the counters. Seriously? If this is the future of "fine dining" I'm going to be pissed off. :/

I mean we heard that it was supposed to be nice but NOT that nice.

Off Topic / How The Hell Am I Alive?

Well for some reason I sat down and thought about my childhood when I grew up in Colorado and all I can say is... How the forget did I not die? I used to go in -20 degree weather with t-shirts, I fell into like a 10-15 foot ditch, my dad had to shoot a bear that we ran into on a hike, I fell into a cactus patch face down, I hit my eye on a sharp metallic corner of a chair when I was two-three and got a cut across my eye, a guy's two dogs got lose and tried to attack me but my dog Jenny fought them off, and probably other stuff I don't remember. I'd like some explanation as to how the hell was I so lucky? I mean I love Colorado but I'm kinda glad we moved.

So was it pure luck or do kids just somehow have magical protection?
