I don't understand why this is needed?  Open the calculator that comes with your OS.

What's wrong with someone coding a calculator? So what if one has already been made.

He's getting into coding which is a really good field of work in my opinion. It's about learning not the product.

Well I think I'm probably going to get Amnesia. I still need to think about it more.

But funny.

I don't mind tribal jokes but that was more of a insult.

No he didn't. I've added emphasis where necessary in his post since your god damn slant eyes can't read properly apparently.

The problem is that you are consistently wrong in topics such as this. It's very annoying to see you constantly dish out poor computer hardware advice.

1. That was unnecessarily and just plain tribal.
2. I'm sometimes wrong and it's usually about processors. Sue me. I'm really only good with video cards and I'm more of a software guy anyways. I'm just putting in my two cents. He doesn't have to listen to my advice. Once again stop acting like an immature forget and deal with it.

Yes, I was referring to the second. The Sims 3 may also be a possibility.

What bug did New Vegas have?

I don't know it's some NPC glitch that causes all systems to lag no matter what your specs are. There's a non-official patch that even the developers are supporting. It's some DirectX patch that fixes it. I think the developers already patched the bug but I'm not sure.

LAPTOP. HE HAS A LAPTOP. STOP RECOMMENDING THE GTX 460 BLINDLY AND READ THE DAMN POST. HE HAS A LAPTOP. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

He said desktop or laptop dumbforget.

EDIT: Oh wait. I think that was another thread. There's so many dam threads it's confusing.

Also sue me for making a small mistake. Stop loving raging.

Decent enough to run like Fallout 3 pr New Vegas, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and maybe Battlefield Bad Company on decent settings. I'm not too sure if those are high end or not.

Also is Source a make or a category?

I feel like such a newb to this stuff.

Source as in Source engine games like l4d2, hl2, tf2, etc.

Anyways running Fallout 3 really isn't that hard. Surprisingly it's not that much of a resource hog but I do believe New Vegas will lag the forget out of you without the proper patch due to some npc bug. Bad Company on the other hand (if you're referring to the second game) will need some pretty good specs to run. Need For Speed also isn't that resource heavy.

Provided I get a job sometime soon, it'd take a bit of saving but I don't have a set budget. Just a kick ass gaming computer is something I want.

What kind of games do you play? Source games really don't require that much resources but games like Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, Crysis, and other modern games can really rape your processor and such.

Dedicated video ram usually isn't a good thing to go by. It's usually a scam. I've seen lots of a really crappy cards with 1 gig dedicated v-ram.

Anyways I could build you a pretty lovey computer for about 1000 dollars. Depending on how much power you want.

What's your budget?
